Good quality wood
All the other reviews seem to be free Vine ones so I thought I would add a non-Vine review. This is a sturdy, well-made product. The wood is good quality and very smoothly finished. It's a pale wood, as seen in the photos. Apparently, Hinoki cypress is native to Japan and the tree is valued for its very high-quality timber. It feels slightly overpriced for a small wooden box, but the interesting choice of wood and the quality build does make it a good buy.

Poorly made
The size was what was described but the wooden panels which would join together were off (not aligned) on the left hand side. The right hand side was aligned. The product was made in China. Had I known where it was made, I wouldn’t have bought it. I’m keeping it for the sake of the environment (it’s not eco-friendly to return items) but i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

A very well made and high-quality utensil holder that will no doubt last a lifetime...
The “Extra Large Utensil Holder with Handle” from “OAKERLAND” is a good quality, and wonderfully manufactured solid wood utensil holder.First off, this utensil holder is absolutely what it says it is – i.e. 100% solid Hinoki Cypress Wood that’s been carefully put together into a wonderfully fashioned holder. The quality is every bit as seen in the listing pictures. Furthermore, the feel of the wood is well finished with perfectly sanded down edges and corners. The separate pieces of Cyress Wood have been joined perfectly with no gaps or badly measured pieces. Indeed, the whole piece is a tightly manufactured and joined piece of workmanship showing precision throughout.Yes, it’s a relatively pricey item to purchase. Especially considering it’s quite a simplistic organiser that really just offers storage in three decent-sized pots. However, it’s one of those purchases that you know will be for something that will last you. It’s a quality produced item and absolutely looks and feels it.Personally, I’m very keen on spending a little more to ensure quality of an item that’ll last. This is such an item in my opinion. It’s one of those things that will just last you a lifetime due to the sheer quality of it.I’m very impressed. Recommended.

Useful
Arriving in a plain cardboard box, the Utensil Holder is well packaged nonetheless, protected by plastic corners and foam packaging. This appears entirely untreated, at least in terms of colour; the wood then appears to be in "white" which is to say it hasn't been stained. There are no visible dowels or screws, so I presume this has been glued together, and modern adhesives are very durable.Something that is intended for the kitchen, where implements damp from the dishwasher might be dropped in place, where water and steam abound, should be treated against water at least - shouldn't it?So I am looking at this nicely made box, wondering if is it finished? The description does say, "Strong and durable, moisture resistant," and this may well be a feature of Hinoki Cypress Wood.Google tells me, "While hinoki is naturally resistant to humidity and rot, it should not be left to soak in water for long periods of time as this may permanently damage the wood."So maybe in white is okay.I think you could certainly use this as is, or if you wished, apply wood stain to match this to your decor; a more subtle choice might be something like a clear mineral or Tung oil as used for chopping boards, blocks and wooden draining boards.Apparently, this kind of wood hardens with age, for about 200 years, and only shows weakness after millennia. As this is a new product review, that claim is beyond testing and then some, but if this has the potential to become an antique, improving with age, perhaps the asking price is then pretty reasonable. It's fair to say my first thoughts, i.e. is it finished? Was unfair. It is then a natural product that is reported to have good natural resistance to moisture and potentially has a long life.So once reassured, while I can't say this will be great a year, five years, or five hundred years from now, this is a new from the box assessment -- I can say that my second thoughts, were I like this.

Great Quality and offers so much versatile storage!
Excellent quality - the wood is so soft and smooth that I spent ages simply touching it and enjoying the feel of this utensil holder! The wood is very pale which is perfect for me, but I guess you could stain or oil it if you wanted a richer colour - this is made from Cypress wood which is moisture resistant and durable. The utensil holder measures 13.5 inch by 4.5 inch by 6.1 inch and has 3 compartments, each of which have ventilation holes in the base. These are great for storing kitchen utensils, or could be used on a desk for pens and stationary. I am very pleased with this and would very happily recommend.

Nice and big. Really well made.
This is a nicely made utensil holder, available with either a handle for worktop storage, or a wall mount. It is made from Hinoki Cypress wood, which is tough, good looking, and native to Japan, and East Asia. It features three large compartments, enough to hold multiple utensils, which frees up drawer space in your kitchen, and keeps everything to hand. It's a lovely item, and although it costs £26.99, I think it is well worth the money. Looked after, this will last you for many years. Highly recommended.

Brilliant very solid
I love how sturdy this is. I like the natural wood look but it could be painted to fit any decor. The sections are large enough to hold a pen pot, I use on my desk to hold a pen pot, small notebooks and other essential office stuff that could probably just be binned but we keep just incase! It does the job perfectly!
