Hello! Thanks for your interest. Kit includes Juniper Berries, Coriander, Lemon Peel, Grains of Paradise, Angelica Root, and Cubeb Berries in a nicely labelled folio of sealed plastic bags.

Q: What is the base liquor needed for the gin kit?

I have no clue since I've never purchased this!

Q: How long does it take to make the Gin?

You can make some in as little as 24 but I've had a few using this kit that were made over the course of several days and they were excellent. If you want a stronger taste of a certain herb, leave it for longer; it'll mostly be based on your preference.

Q: A tip in the instructions says: "gently macerate and/or roast the spices and botanicals". What does macerate mean in this context? Soak in water?

Yes you can soak them in water to release the scents and make even more potent. We roasted lightly on the stove in a small saucepan instead which worked GREAT.
