Just what I needed
My water pump in my 2008 335i cracked. I don't know much about cars but my mechanic told me if I buy the part he would install it. This Water Pump was installed and works beautifully. No issues and a LOT cheaper than what local places were charging. Lowest I saw was $700.

DON'T BUY - LEAKS!
Direct bolt on for 2008 BMW 135i Convertible. After my EOM product blew up and my car overheated I replaced it with this. It took me the better part of a weekend to do in my driveway, but it comes with everything you need and fits perfectly.UPDATE: DON'T BUY! I have put less than 10k miles on it and it's leaking from the middle of the housing. Apparently these water pumps are prone to fractures, causing it to leak from basically the middle of the water pump (not at a hose/connection, as some might suspect). This is a VERY well documented issue with these pumps, and if you google "335i water pump leaks" you'll find many threads discussing the issue, and the seller/manufacturers inability to fix, resolve, or even address the situation. It's been very hard (and in many cases impossible) to get a warranty replacement, so PLEASE consider buying a different brand. These aren't terrible to install, but it's definitely not fun, you REALLY don't want to have to do it twice due to a leaking housing.

Factory Original Pump at lower price.
Great product and about half what your BMW dealer wants for the same pump, (this the same brand that was on my car from the factory when new). These are tricky to replace and always do the thermostat when replacing just to insure against a future issue with it failing.

Just what I needed and delivered on Sunday!
Fits 2009 (12/2008) BMW 135i. I replaced the thermostat as well during the replacement of a faulty water pump. For an internet written record which may have been coincidence, but someone in line before me added green coolant to the system. Could that be the reason the water pump failed? Use the blue and don't chance it, since theoretically the next time you change your coolant is when you replace this pump again. So $0.009/mile more expensive doesn't sound too bad.Doing this R&R creeping under ramps is not fun. Totally do-able, I did it in 5-6 hours with the last few EDC CREE light only. Watch some youtube videos too, Prime Is 2 days after all. Heck, got an auto trans with the "lifetime" fluid? Oil pan with integrated filter and all retaining bolts are on here for $46. Get a case of the Mercon SP and do a friction modifier refresher.

This is the SAME Pump as the OEM BMW Pump and it Fails WAY Too Early!
For your information, the VDO-Continental pump is the SAME part that is rebranded as Genuine BMW or aftermarket brands. I purchased this particular pump to replace a cracked and leaking original OEM pump on my E92 335i.Five months later, the new pump cracked in exactly the same place as the original did... on the plastic impeller housing, between the electrical connector and the outlet pipe. BMA Parts graciously replaced the cracked pump under warranty. Just over one year later, the replacement cracked as well (out of warranty). I'm now on my 4th pump, and winter has arrived. It will crack again, and it's a long and horrible job to replace. On the forums, so many people are complaining of cracked and leaking pumps, and their photos show the identical failure location. This is a serious design flaw that has not been addressed by VDO-Continental, and now there is a class-action lawsuit against BMW for the failures. Since aftermarket pumps are all rebranded VDO-Continental pumps right now, there are no reliable alternatives anywhere. O'Reilly Auto parts is the only place that advertises a similar pump with a metal impeller housing, however, they charge $400, and they currently have customer NO ratings, after several years of it being available. Very few people online are able to vouch for its reliability.
