Surprisingly good
I used to get the cheap rothco type jungle boots 25 years ago and these surprised me by being MUCH higher quality. They're sturdy and comfortable. I've been using them consistently for 7 months with no appreciable damage or wear on the soles. Unlike the ones I used to find these did not have an chemical smell when new and the soles are a better quality rubber. Size runs a little large, though that does allow you to wear doubled socks in cold weather.

Very nice boots, just order a size below your actual size
Came a size too large when I ordered size 9, a lot of extra foot room but they're very comfortable otherwise.

Absolute Garbage
First off I rarely write reviews but these boots are so bad I have to let the world know. I have Rothco uniforms that are pretty good so I said to myself "eh how bad could they be let's give em a go", anyway these boots... Man these boots are the worst thing I have ever put my feet into. They are so cheaply made its insulting to even try and call them boots or even footwear. The canvas used for the OD green part can barely even be considered canvas, the tounge ripped when I put them on for the very first time. The "leather" parts appear to be plastic dipped pleather from the cheapest possible materials. The eyelets are like tinfoil, one of them popped right out when I tried to lace them. The insole is cardboard, not "similar to cardboard" I mean actual cardboard. And the sole is plastic, it does have some flexibility to it so it might be a plastic/rubber compound of some type but still just trash. The only part of the boot that might be OK are the laces but I didn't even wear them for 10 seconds so how could I even be sure? I can't see any logical use for these boots except maybe if you wanted to make a scarecrow or something, but why would you use new boots for that? Don't waste your time.

I wear a 10.5 and they do not have half size. Chart and most people say buy 1 size down. I tried a 10. Sent it back cause still to large. Got a 9. Worked great. Bought Dr. Scholl's work boot inserts. Also worked great. Bought boot conditioner to help break them in and after about 2 weeks they wear like my sneakers. Alot of people complain about the smell and yes they do smell like rubber when you first get them. I just put them in the sun for the day and it was gone that evening. First pair I ever had were American made and lasted about 6 years. These are made from China, but half the cost of the real deal. We'll see soon enough I guess. All in all Iike them so far.

great for warm wet conditions
these were a lot better when they were 35 bucks. these are less for everyday use and more to put on when you are going to be wading through streams and deep mud. scenarios where your feet are going to get wet anyway. the panama soles don't last a long time but they are more forgiving if walking on sharp gravel or loose terrain, and they actually have fantastic traction in mud. get a nice waterproof insole (the ones in the boots aren't great) and wear thick wool socks. these will leave black skuff marks on floors so leave them in the mud room.

To Big
Way too big at least a whole size having to return them and I hate that. They appeared very well made and looked and felt just like the ones from back in the day. Another thing is they came without insoles, but I picked a pair of otc ones

Keeps you light
Due to the Panama style bottom it keeps the mud off and keeps you light, you have to wear socks with these otherwise the canvas feels really scratchy, I'd say it's a great value for the price, and is the correct style for late-ish vietnam war era gear.

Solved my deep jungle problems
I had a really hard time in deep jungle hikes with a lot of film gear during the rainy season in Panama and normal boots or hiking boots kept causing me troubles. These did the trick and any concern they might not be comfortable enough was done away by wearing two pairs of socks...sounds weird but it works and is super comfy.

I really like it but a little bit heavy

Absolutely fantastic boots. No idea what the bad review on here is talking about... A bit too big, nah they're roomy. And it depends on your unique foot shape. Some trainers have my toes curled up, others don't. These boots do exactly what they are supposed to. People screaming about no insoles... These boots are replicas of Vietnamese Jungle Boots, foam insoles are a new invention... Grow up, man up, or buy insoles for your pedicured, softly moisturised footsies. The canvas ankles allow for more movement than standard leather boots. Like with any leather boots, you have to wear them in, so expect rubbing in places. Of course you get a ridge line from where your toes lift, just like any other leather boots. I'm that happy with them, I'll buy another pair. Combine these with puttees and you are ready for any terrain. Are they perfect? Show me anything that is. Are they worth the money? 100%. (4stars because let's be honest.... You can pay much more for higher end stuff, but for the price, these things are great.)

Fantastic boots look great and are reasonably comfortable but I recommend getting some insoles to improve comfort

Not true to size. Get a smaller size. Didn't come with insoles, had to make another purchase. Other then that water comes out and well ventilated.

4 months old to the day and the heel is coming off. Disappointed as I was fairly happy with these...
