A sampler came with the purchase of my Nespresso, and I identified the Chiaro as a favorite immediately. I know i like a dark roast and gravitated towards those options in the sampler. They were all tasty, but chiaro was a clear favorite. I'm not good with notes but I will say it's robust, bold and smooth, producing a delightful crema and providing me with a nice wake up in the morning. It's so tasty, i use some steamed oatmilk, a dash of splenda, and Starbucks hasn't seen a dime from me in over 2 weeks! I also sought out reviews when choosing which flavor of nespresso capsules to purchase first. Most are sold in groups of 30, that being one of the better values anyway on amazon. Chiaro was one of the most highly rated amongst reviews of dark roast capsules! It was a clear choice for me after tasting the one sample that came in the sampler pack. I also really enjoyed the Dioppio Blanco, and Fortada, both dark roasts and espresso options. I am already on my 2nd order of 30 capsules...i have to remind myself these are double shots and to pace myself so as to keep my caffeine intake in check...it's that good! I highly recommend this flavor of capsule. It hits all the right spots. I'm not well versed in coffee, I don't quite understand notes but I do know I like a good dark roast, and I certaintly like certain brands and flavors of coffee from popular brands like Peets, Starbucks, Green Mountain and a few smaller local brands. As someone who used to frequent Starbucks, Peets Coffee or other barista almost daily, the Chiaro has made my switch to homemade espresso beverages so easy and delightful! I look forward to my morning coffee ritual so much, it smells like my very own coffee house every morning! The espresso brews quickly, in about 40 seconds or less. I did see some mention in reviews for this capsule, or the Nespresso itself about the size of the output this capsule makes. On the sampler package, there was an informative diagram on the back that broke down the flavors into categories of type of beverage. Some categories were espresso,double espresso, coffee and one other. There was also included volume amounts in ounces. The espressos make about 1 ounce where the double espressos makes about about 2 ounces, double the size of an espresso. The capsules meant for coffee beverages made 5-7 ounces of coffee. Whomever left those reviews didn't understand that and thought there was something wrong. The beverage is meant to be enjoyed wirh extra liquid, either milk or water (if making an americano). As I stated, I made a latte, using about 6 oz of steamed oatmilk. The chiaro double espresso and oatmilk together produce a strong, smooth coffee beverage totalling about 8 ounces, closer to the expected size. I do plan to branch out and expand my experience with other flavors I tried in the sampler. Another feature of the diagram on the sample packsging were included flavors "you may also like" listed below each flvor. So that if you enjoyed one flavor, you were given recommendations on others to try. I've kept that diagram and plan to reference it along with Amazon reviews when selecting my next package of nespreaso capsules. I do suggest you start with chiaro if you like dark roast. This is a good roast you cant really go wrong with.

These are my favorite nespresso pods I’ve tried so far. I have gotten so picky when getting a coffee at a stand because these are just delicious. It doesn’t make me feel jittery, but it also gives me energy! And it makes the perfect 16oz coffee after I add milk and a little creamer!

Amazing Nespresso capsules. The taste is so good and the aroma smells so good every time I make it my whole house smells like coffee. The blend is really easy and brewing is pretty good. I gifted it to my mom. She loved it so much and she enjoyed it a lot I also enjoyed it and I believe that everyone would like it.

The BEST nespresso pod flavor. If you’re a coffee lover and want a strong coffee flavor, then you’ll love this flavor. My fiance likes americanos and this is the closest he can get to make them at home. A little pricey but they are so yummy that I think it is worth it. Compatible with most nespresso machines. It doesn’t make a 7 oz cup but if you use 2 it’s the perfect strength and taste for a quality cup of coffee that tastes like you got it from a coffee shop!
