The Human Body Book: An Illustrated Guide to Its Structure, Function, and Disorders (DK Human Body Guides)

My sweetheart is studying for EMT and I bought him this book to help him study. It was great and he used it a lot.

My nephew's 12 and a bit beyond his years but this book is great and keeps him learning. He gets bored with age appropriate books and learning - his focus is to be a heart surgeon.

If you don't have this in your arsenal of books, I highly recommend you do. We have the original version of this book. Over the years my kids and I have used this book to understand what our bodies are doing, when they are sick and/or injured. My kids all loved this educational book so much we bought this version. We cracked the book as soon as it was delivered. I can't say enough how educational and simple this book makes for learning Anatomy. My 10 year old can't put it down, and every kid I have spends some time in this book weekly. We also bought anatomy coloring books which has an ever greater impact. Buy buy buy, you won't be disappointed.

I got this book for my mom who is doing a natural medicine/natural health course and they recommended that she get the human body book. I was very skeptical because I had seen a few different books online but we were assured that this was the correct book for us. Let me just tell you that I am perhaps more excited about this book than even my mother is. It's almost like it's in high-definition. It's so accurate, the colors are amazing, the detailing is beyond me it's out of this world. If you're using this book for medical purposes for studies of any kind that requires you to understand the human anatomy and diseases definitely get this book.

It gives very much detail up to medical level. It's a very good reference for advanced students.
