Q: Is this the best thing to dim some led lights ? Is it bad to use? I know it should work but...?

I used 3 of these to control each color of a strip of SMD 5050 LEDs. They work great. No buzzing, smooth linear control.

Frequency can be changed with C2. 0.12nF 66.7KHz 1nF 11.4KHz 10nF 1.2KHz 100nF 118Hz 1000nF 1.2Hz

Q: Does the knob include an on/off function or does it just adjust the speed? Need to know if I need to purchase an additional power switch.
