The BEST sculpture book I’ve ever seen!
These books alone are works of art! Almost every single page has beautiful sculptures on them. They would even make great coffee table books! I even recommended these books to someone that does welding sculptures. The details are amazing! They are so lifelike that I didn’t think was even possible! Love, love, love them!

Great book
Even if I didn't sculpt I would enjoy this book; as the author's work is exceptional, and I always enjoying seeing what he and his wife have done. He provides lots of instruction, as well as beautiful photography, showing different views and various stages throughout. His work, and the photos are stunning and very helpful. The first time I sculpted a bust was after watching an instuctional DVD on portraits, by Phillipe Fauret, and now I am buying the set on sculpting the figure, and I can't wait to get started. Wonderfull book! Definitely recommend it.

Philippe Faraut is an exceptional sculptor, a fine artist and an excellent teacher. Now just releasing his newest edition; Volume 2 FIGURE SCULPTING; Gesture & Drapery technics book, I am once again amazed at the quality of his work, the ability to instruct and to explain the techniques he uses to produce his awesome sculptures. He shares his procedures and "secrets," in easy to follow step-by-step directions. You must take his class, but if you can't enroll in a class, then you must buy his thoughtful, educational and beautifully produced books to increase your knowledge of the art of sculpting the human body. Philippe is an amazing sculptor and a gentleman and you will be glad you found Philippe. I am.

Amazing!!!
What can I say? It’s Philippe?! It was a super exciting to read and look through the techniques in this book! I already have plans for my next project! Watching Philippe’s videos and studying his books got a sculpture of mine into the Larks Book 500 Figures in Clay, Volume 2. Anyone who sees my work is amazed by the realistic, well done technique - and Philipe had been my only teacher in sculpture!
