Having a quality made case like Alpine Swiss says a lot about a person .
I use this case for carrying my lap top . It has plenty of room for all my other stuff too . I need a sturdy case when I travel , my lap top isn't cheap and you can damage your lap top if you use one of those Bag / pack-pack types . The Alpine Swiss is real strong , locks , stable enough to put my computer on , and looks good too . I say , get one , it's worth every penny! Tim

Good Quality
Bought this as a gift, and it has been holding up to their usage and demand. It has several pockets and dividers inside. They love it. I would buy this again if I needed one.

Best case I’ve had.
Very very high quality case! Latches work well, locking mechanism works well, interior is great, fits lots of things. It protects my things from the rain and it’s very easy to clean, smells like fresh leather, and for the money the value is very great! Would buy again, though I don’t think I’m going to need another one for years.

Locking Function Faulty
Had it for a few months and the locking mechanism will not operate on one side properly.

Very pleased with this briefcase.
I've had this brief case for about 2 months now. I don't use it every day, but 2 or 3 days a week. It is very nice looking and well made. Nothing seems loose, the hardware is firm. It stays open very well. (It clicks into place and holds open) Changing the combination is painless too. (Turn the dials to the current combination, slide the button inward and hold it, then choose your new number and release the button) I feel very confident it will outlast the others I've owned in the past. This brief case had much better reviews than others in the same price range (I paid $65.00) and rightly so. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. I will update this review if anything changes.

Solid, well built, sturdy hardware
This is my first experience with the Alpine Swiss brand. When we had stores in our little town that carried the brand, I was impressed with their perceived build quality. That is why I gave this briefcase a try. I am still impressed with the build quality. The handle is 'leather' wrapped, and provides a slight cushion for grip and carrying comfort. The interior a laid out well with enough pockets, file holders, etcetera. Although I embrace and use a lot of tech, I still use a Day Timer, and carry it, and a lot of other stuff for my number crunching job. It all fits, with room to spare - and that's without utilizing the expansion feature. At this point, I would definitely buy it again, and recommend it to others.

Build quality is good and everything good except for the locking mechanism. I tried to open it today putting in my 6 digit pin and only one side opened. I tried every single combination that was close to my other 3 digit pin on the other side but it wouldn’t unlock. I had to use a pry tool to open it in an emergency and I was able to access the contents but it still wouldn’t unlock from the side while the case was open. I’m outside the return window so yes I’m salty for a $150 briefcase that lasted only 5 months.
