I love this nam jim gai (sweet chilli sauce) - it reminds me of when I lived in Thailand. Something else that reminds me of my years there is the street food I now make at home, in particular khao kai jiaow (Thai-style omelette and rice). It's just not right without it! In fact, very often I'll just have a bowl of steamed jasmine rice with a couple of spoonfuls of this sauce! Don't let the image of the chicken on the label fool you - it's just there to illustrate the sauce's most popular use, that of an accompaniment for grilled chicken (gai yang / ping gai). It works well with many dishes, not just Southeast Asian ones. And don't be put off by the fact that it's a chilli sauce - the chilli is very mild.

I love this stuff and now Tesco has stopped stocking it I was delighted to see that Amazon were selling it. I read the reviews and got the message I was taking a risk ordering it but what can you do?! As usual dispatch and delivery were very prompt but when I took the box from the delivery man I thought I heard a crunching sound. Long story short, one of the bottles has been smashed to pieces. Anyone planning on ordering this must already know how sticky Sweet Chilli Sauce is. Well the stuff was everywhere - the package had come double boxed, the internal box and contents were covered in sauce and broken glass and the external box wasn't much better. I had to don rubber gloves and an apron, wash off the 3 surviving bottles and try to get the mess out of the internal box into the bin without ending up wearing most of it!. The main problem is with the strips of brown paper that they uses for padding nowadays - it is totally inadequate for glass and once its covered in sticky sauce is a nightmare to deal with. I have reported the packaging to Amazon so hopefully when you come to order this they will have started using bubble wrap for the bottles. Anyway be prepared for breakages. Frankly at the price I think it's worth the risk - I won't even bother claiming for the one broken bottle.

This is my family's favorite sauce, it's not very hot at all but also has just a mild little kick to it. My husband is very anti-anything that is hot or spicy, but this one he enjoys. It goes great as a dip with nuggets, over rice, and even as a dressing for a salad. I would say 100 percent give it a try, you will love it very much. My family is all very fussy eaters and it's extremely hard to please everyone. This is one sauce out of many that everyone likes. Be careful because there are many brands if this sauce which we have tried. This brand is the best of the lot according to us anyway.

Arrived on time and no broken bottles. Only complaint is the bottle size. It is listed as 32 ounces. That is the weight not volume. I thought I was getting quart bottles instead of 25 fl ounces. Still a good price for where I live. I reread the description and looked at the pictures closer after it arrived. It is correct in the listing I just assumed 32 ounces was fluid not weight.

Love Mae Palouse sauce. It is awesome! Hopefully I will have two bottles replaced. Two of twelve were broken during shipping.

Love this product, use it all the time, and can’t get it in the larger bottles locally. Price is ok for 12 bottles, less than buying it in the little bottles I can get locally, tolerable price for the 10 remaining bottles. Two bottles were smashed, so sauce was everywhere. Washed off the other 10 and the bottles appear intact. Too expensive to return, so I’ll just live with the 10 bottles. I’ll just have to keep it stocked up whenever I go out of state and can find it. I saw the reviews for broken bottles and thought I’d take a chance. Not sure I’ll do it again.

Arrived two days early. Although I had two bottles broken in the box. What a mess!! Taste great just aggravating that 2 of the 12 bottles are busted.
