4 for 4, 100% in the sprouting game... the upper midwest presents some serious challenges
08/23/21 Update: 4 seeds has turned into 4 bountiful bushes covered in dozens of Scotch Bonnets! Harvesting in 4-6 weeks! This will be my first time growing this pepper in pots in my very limited space but so far, so good. I started my seeds in early March, very stubborn, but I did get a 100% sprout. I've transplanted once, and this week will be the first move towards transplanting outdoors. If I have any luck with these I hope to harvest a 2-3 year supply of dried chilis, (much less than the 10 year supply of bird's beak chilis that I went overboard with in 2012, lol.). Making my own wet and dry Jerk spices is my end game here, any hot tips are welcome in my replies... w00t! ;o})

Scotch Bonnet
I have not actually painted them. But my son will start them in his hot house and then we will put them outside, they seem to do better and grow faster with this procedure . I'm hoping that they are as good as they were two years ago because I had such a fantastic harvest. I actually had to finally just pull the plant. Which I'm excited about.

Waste of money - they never grew
Did not grow. What a waste of $. I planted habanero seeds and these Scotch Bonnet seeds at the same time. They were cared for equally, put in a warm place with sunshine, and watered regularly. After a month, the habanero seeds grew as expected and I transplanted half of them into a container and straight into a garden outside. In the meantime, these Scotch Bonnet seeds never grew.

Good seeds germinated quickly
These seeds are impressive, good value for the money, fast germination rate. This is one week and I’ve already got the cover off and fan on them, every cell is coming up! Don’t see that often.

So Far So Good
21-Mar-2022: So far so good. About 85% of the seeds have spouted, in about 12 days after planting. The plants look healthy and are growing at a good pace. At this early stage the sprouts look like other pepper plants. I used Kellogg Garden Organics All Natural Garden Soil for Flowers and Vegetables, with Perlite (20%) and Miracle-Gro Shake 'N Feed Tomato, Fruit and Vegetable Plant Food. The final test will be to see actual Yellow Scotch Bonnet Peppers. Bye, until I see peppers.

70% Germination rate from 2 packets of seeds
The seeds took a bit longer than expected, both from experience and from expected sprouting time for this species.
