Still amazed! If you have mcs, it's a must have product!
This product has me purely amazed! As someone who has mcs, and finds it frustrating to have to wash new clothes numerous times to get the chemicals out, or used ones even MORE because of the highly scented detergents in them, this product is truly a MIRACLE product! I thought the green wash ball was good, but this blows that, and anything else I've ever tried out of the water! If you don't have mcs, you might not understand the lengths we go to, to try to get our clothes rid of these toxins. Imagine having to wash new clothing at least 5x's or more. Even soaking them beforehand in vinegar, borax, or other products for 24 hours or more first. Sometimes I can never get the smells out, and I've wasted all that time and money for nothing. Well, NO MORE! The first item I put in, was my pup's dog bed that he threw up on. I didn't even take the pillow case off of it, I just threw the whole thing in the wash. Put the magnets on each side of the washing machine basin, and washed in hot water. No stain remover or anything else, as I wanted to see what these magnets could do. It came out CLEAN, no stain, no doggie smell, nothing. Just clean and fresh smell. The second wash I did was of 2 brand new bras that I'd had sitting around for awhile cause I ran out of my natural detergent, and stopped using the green wash ball because it was making holes in my clothes. I put the bras in a mesh bag, turned the water to cold, and extra low. Because the water was on extra low, I put the magnets on the very bottom of the washing machine basin. One on each side of the agitator. I was nervous......I just knew I was going to have to wash those bras at least a few times. Boy was I wrong!!! They came out smelling like it does just after it rains! CLEAN! That is it! I couldn't believe it. I can't believe it. I'm still in pure amazement! I know this must sound crazy, but if you don't have mcs maybe it's hard to understand how one can get so excited over something so simple..........I just can't begin to describe how miraculous this is! lol Who gets excited to wash clothes??? I do now! I can't wait to go to the thrift store, and buy something to throw in there, cause they always reek of scented detergents so bad, that sometimes I wash them 10 or more times, and still don't get the detergent smells out. That's A LOT of wasted water, electricity, and time, not to mention expensive natural products I use to try to eliminate the smells. Oh, and the magnets stayed right where I put them, even with the dog bed/pillow in the wash. I was sure they were going to be stuck together or on the bottom or something. We do have a very old machine......at least 20 years old. I know the newer models sometimes don't have metal basins anymore. It's not an issue if they do come off though, or you can put them inside a sock before the wash starts. It doesn't matter if they stick together. One other thing that is great is, you don't even have to do a rinse cycle anymore unless you just feel an item needs more agitation or something. There is NO detergent (unless you add some, but I don't know why you would do that as it defeats the whole purpose of the product) to rinse off. With not having to do a rinse cycle, that will save even MORE $$$. Less water, less electricity, and less time! Wash loads will get done in half the time now. I'm just so stoked over this product, I am actually excited about it! It's a must have item for every home, but especially those with chemical sensitivities. So glad I finally had enough saved in my Amazon account to purchase it, and try it out. :) I can't recommend it highly enough, truly. *UPDATE* Still loving this product. I can't say enough good things about it. *UPDATE 3/2/16* Please see comment in the comment section below for the complete update. In short, still using this, still loving it, but there have been a few items it did not work on. I think the odor is literally in the threads used to make it, and the odor won't go away no matter what I've tried. *This product was purchased at full price for my own use.

Works great! Recommend
I bought this as an alternative to buying laundry soap. When it arrived, I was skeptical and have done laundry, intentionally making sure the product works. Here are the results. 1. Odor: Several reviews I read on the product were regarding smell, or lack of smell on the clean clothes. My clothes smell clean. This includes washing an item that was unusually soiled, and the result was a clean item. While my clothes smell clean, they lack a chemical fragrance that many detergents give. This “lack of smell” doesn’t bother me as I have used other detergents in the past without fragrance due to a child’s allergy to detergent. 2. Stain. The picture of my towel tells the story. During outdoor fall cleanup, I found this towel on the ground, left from my children from months ago - when it was hot for the water. It was filthy, and I knew it was the perfect item to test the product. All the marks came out except one tiny spot - which you can see. I’m confident if I added a stain remover, nothing would have remained. However, I wanted to test the power of this product to remove stains. It passed! 3. Color. After washing various items, I find my clothes are brighter in colors. Overall, I’m pleased! This product is cleaning my clothes and replacing my detergent budget.

Washing machine and dishwasher test
In a nutshell, they work..i think. ( 2 part review with update at bottom) I bought them to improve water quality so there would be less stress on our DW and clothes washer. We live in N Dallas and the water is very hard. It also makes DW and CW wear faster. Thinking I was smart I put 1 in my dishwasher and 1 in my CW They didn't work. Then I read the reviews/questions and put BOTH in the bottom of my dishwasher. Beautifully clean dishes and glasses. No film. Glasses had a sparkle / shine. But I did add my normal detergent too. Then I tested on CW. As a note, the machine is extra large capacity. It washes 15 pairs of jeans and is a top load HE. The magnets roll around in the bottom and don't stay stuck to the metal. ( I am worried the plastic coating will wear.) Here's photos of my steam mop pad, and 2 pair socks. ( 1 pair went through the mud and it dried for 2 days before washing). I only added 1 teaspoon detergent and 1 Tablespoon Oxyclean. This is less than normal. The result is they look cleaner, but not really clean. Doing the math it will take me months to make up for the cost of the magnets. BUT... I'm shocked at how my black yoga pants came out of another load, but I used the normal amount of detergent. I assumed they were dingy because they are not new. But when I washed them with magnets and detergent they are rich dark black after 1 washing!! So, overall they are awesome in our dishwasher when used with the normal amount of detergent. They are also awesome with dark clothes with the normal amount of detergent. It seems they help clothes get extra clean. So far that's what I notice most. Overall, it would take months to equal the cost of the magnets in reduced detergent costs. I'll use them longer before making a final decision. UPDATE. I did lots of dishes and laundry. I also did lots of internet research. I give them 2 stars because they do have a slight water softening? effect and things are cleaner in both dish and clothes washer. But for the price the benefit just isn't there. Several online reviews suggested decreasing detergent alone and you will get same effect because we all use too much detergent. Other people used no detergent and almost got same effect. They stated that magnets do effect water. But if effect was that significant a DW or CW manufacturer would add them to the machines and easily take over the market. These are interesting points I'm not going to test. I'm returning them because they do not make a big enough difference to justify the cost and they certainly don't totally replace detergent.
