This thing has been one of the best purchases I've made for my PC. After 8 years of using the same keyboard that I got out of the bargain section of a Best Buy, I finally switched over to a mechanical keyboard- and for my money, this is by far the best I could have hoped for. I have friends who spent over 120$ on their keyboard alone and this feels just as good, if not better, than theirs. The keys come off easily if you want to clean it, but not so easily that you're going to accidentally bust them off while playing. The lighting effects are neat- I'm boring and just leave it on standard lit keys, but there are a ton of options. The cord feels durable, the keys have a really nice feel to them, the keyboard itself has enough weight to not slide around, and the layout feels very natural. The only (very minor) complaint I have is that the way they opted to write the font on the keys- for instance, the number 0 is styled in a way that looks like ( ) instead of a full oval, but that's such a minor nitpick that it hardly matters. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants a mechanical keyboard but doesn't feel like spending a ridiculous amount of money on one.

This is a very good no-frills, backlit, mechanical keyboard. I've owned it for about 4 months and so far have had no problems. It has satisfying clickiness, and is less noisy than the blue switch version (highly subjective, of course). It works well for gaming, but I don't play competitively and don't know how suitable it is for twitchy, fast-response games. It has 8 lighting presets for various game modes (FTS, RTS, etc) and can be programmed for two user-defined settings. There are 18 lighting effect patterns (steady, breathing, wave, rippling, etc). I used none of these, and stuck with the boring default "steady" lighting. There is no software needed for this keyboard. All features and programming are done with keyboard commands (FN + whatever). I prefer this, as I do not want to have to install crapware or create an account just to use a keyboard.

I bought this to try out my first mechanical keyboard at the office. I was a little worried by the lack of reviews, but I have to say I have no regrets, well worth the upgrade so far! Pros for me: Looks great- Looks are refined and suitable for an office - doesn't look as "gamey" as other keyboards. Though it doesn't look too "gamey," it can definitely be used for gaming and has different lighting settings which would be useful for gaming. Feels great - I love the feel of these keys. There definitely a noticeable difference in feel/typing between these keys and the old membrane keyboard I used. I enjoy typing on this. The entire keyboard also feels solid overall and doesn't slide around on the desk. Lighting - Lights are bright enough to easily see in a bright office setting, but not distracting. You can adjust the lighting if they are too bright for you. Sound - being brown equivalent switches, typing is not too loud to be annoying to co workers. Size - With the low profile design, it's a full size keyboard but not overly bulky. Cons for me: (Not really a con for me as I like the look but) Being a low profile keyboard, the keys are exposed on the edge of the keyboard. If your not careful, you can probably knock off the key caps if you bang or catch something on the side of it hard enough. Conclusion: Great bang for your buck mechanical keyboard suitable for both office and gaming! Would recommend to others.

I know this is a $40 keyboard, but it really feels pretty cheap. There's not much mechanical feel despite being brown equivalents, and they feel a bit loose and make some unnecessary sounds like light ringing, etc. More importantly, however, while the keycaps themselves are "low profile" the actually keyboard is pretty high up compared to most other low profile keyboards. For example, the bottom row CTRL key is literally double the height of my other two low profile keyboards. "Low profile" keys being way up in the air kind of defeats the purpose. Other things to note: the LED lighting only comes in blue, which is fine, but it's not a particularly nice blue, and you can't adjust the brightness. Also, it didn't come with any instructions, so I had to search and find a manual on the manufacturer's site just to figure out how to stop the keys from fading in and out (Fn + Insert FYI). If you're looking for a low profile brown equivalent that's still reasonably cheap, the Perixx PERIBOARD-328 for $79 is pretty decent. If you prefer something even clickier, then the HAVIT HV-KB395L for $68 is probably a good bet. Maybe if you were buying this for your kid to game on or something they might like it because they wouldn't know the difference, but I don't think anybody who knows enough to be specifically in the market for a low profile keyboard with brown switches in the first place would ever really enjoy typing on this keyboard.

I wanted something a bit quieter than my blue switch keyboard for working, something less clickety clackity. This keyboard seemed right up my alley. For 30 bucks you can't go wrong. I have never bought genuine cherry switches and have always used the cherry "like" keyboards and this is no different. You get 95% of the quality at 40% of the cost. These switches feel pretty nice. My other keyboard was a tad hard to read at night so it was important that this keyboard they letters stand out at night, brightness is very good. Outstanding actually. Typing feels pretty good, general key layout and feel is very similar to my other mechanical keyboard. all in all... very pleased. **update @Months later** spacebar has always been a bit finicky, today @ around 2 months later it completely went out. Very disappointed, keyboard was never abused.

This keyboard is lovely and the perfect edition ! The F / B keys are starting to fade for some reason and I dont pound on the keys when typing so im not sure what is up with that but all in all it is great ! Turn it on to rainy effect or something and you wouldnt even notice ! That is if you get keys that start fading

The value of the product for it's price point is excellent. The brown switches have great feel when used for gaming for work. Not as great feel as red or blue switches but nice and quiet so I don't disturb my roommates. The keyboard is fairly slim and the height is good also so no wrist pad is required. The various lighting options are a great feature that I really like about the keyboard, especially option to light up specified keys which is great for gaming.

I wanted to like this keyboard, but the keys cap size was too small (this is never mentioned in descriptions of a keyboard) and too sensitive (lots of false key presses). I used it for office work, not gaming. Aside from the issues above, it is a very nice keyboard that doesn't need a Windows inter face (no 3rd party apps allowed on my workstation). I had to return it because I have fat fingers I guess.

keys mostly stay in, looks fine, feels nice not too loud has backlighting even if I don't much care

The caps are low profile, but the switches are not. Lots of rattle, no thock. Light work great, but overall not impressed. Not a great way to get into mechanical keyboards.
