Useful cedar grilling planks
I bought these cedar grilling planks because we love cooking fish on them. We will cook salmon on the grill over fire, and we will cook salmon in our oven with them. The are perfect size for one standard stake of fish. The cedar flavor tastes good and they are super easy to soak in water before you grill due to their size. I don’t need to cut them in half anymore. The ease of use is fantastic. They are a great value for the money from a cost per plan point of view. They are a good thickness for cooking. Best of all, when we are done with them, I can just throw them in the camp fire. Recipe: we love salmon with maple syrup and garlic salt.

Perfect for grilling Seafood
We soak these for hours and flip to soak both sides. We weekly grill salmon on these. Great boards but soak for at least 2 to 4 hours.

Perfect for cedar plank salmon
These planks are smaller than others but, they are the perfect size for a single serving. They are slightly thinner than other planks on the market however, reusing a plank is not ideal. You're not going to get that same cedar aroma from the used plank. Cleaning the used plank, which involves sanding off the char, is simply not worth the time and effort. I do suggest soaking the planks overnight rather than just a few hours before grilling. I've been making cedar plank salmon 2 to 3 times a week since purchasing these planks and I will definitely purchase them again!

Value for your money
Good value for your money. A few pieces have knots but the plank still has plenty of room for your fish.

They work!
I had been worried about the relative thinness of these compared with the thicker ones in the store. Be not afraid. I have used these on my grill to 'plank' salmon [sometimes with a glaze] four times since I got them. They work just fine. And face it, I never planned to wash off, save, and re-use those others.

Buy bigger
While these are adequate they are small and skinny. 1/2 of the grocery store salmon cuts will hang over about 1/2 inch.

Great value for outdoor chef
Inexpensive way to add flare and improve flavor of oily fish like salmon and mackerel on the grill.
