Hands-On Introduction to LabVIEW for Scientists and Engineers

This book is very well written. Very good for beginners. It definitely helped me develop measurement projects.

Usefull

This book is targeted at scientist and engineers to get LabVIEW based systems up and running quickly, at the cost of writing unmaintainable code. It's overreliance on text based "features" of labview over teaching the native language will result in many student hating LabVIEW at worst or creating jumbled messes for the rest of us to clean up at worst. Entire chapters are dedicated to sequence structures and mathscript (both of which are strongly discouraged unless absolutly necessary), while recommended functions like event structures and timed loops are hardly even mentioned, if at all. Do your self a favor and just get the Core books straight from NI.

Pages are very thin and most are in black and white but it's a great ref book to use when new to LabVIEW and wanting to get started and getting the vest start well worth the money.

Das Buch besteht aus sehr sehr dünnem Papier. Man kann auf einer Seite die Bilder und den Text der Rückseite sehr deutlich durchschimmern sehen. So dünn ist das Papier. Wenn man das Buch blättert, hat man sehr schnell Knicke im Papier, lediglich vom Anfassen und Blättern der Seite. Für diese sehr schlechte Ausführung vergebe ich lediglich 1 Stern, ich sende das Buch zurück.Hinweis: Das Buch ist in schwarz-weiß. Auf dem Frontcover sieht man wie ansprechend und informativ (Farbe stellt Information dar) der farbige Quellcode aussieht. Innen dann alles schwarz-weiß. Sehr unschön.
