Not up to the job
This vent has a simple job to do, but it's just not up to it. Made from the very thinnest plastic, it is not strong enough to hold the flexible ducting in place, when secured with a metal "jubilee" type of clip. Tighten the clip too loose, the ducting just pops off (probably a week or two after you installed it). See right of photo. Tighten the clip too tight, and it just crushes the thin tabs on the vent. An older style vent that I have (shown on left of photo) has a solid annular ring around which the flexible ducting sits and to which it can then be securely clamped. Not recommended.
