Great company and bike rack
I have been looking for a bike rack to use for 4 bikes. I have tried the hanger style bike racks. They almost always are very hard to squash 4 bikes on, and they usually allow for enough movement to give you bike nice dings and scratches. So I started looking into the platform style bike racks. I started looking at the name brands and was very quickly disheartened at the price point of these carriers. I then started searching Amazon for alternatives and eventually stumbled on the Overdrive 4 bike carrier. It had all of the features that the name brands had as far as support and security, and had reasonable reviews and the price was much more reasonable. So I pulled the trigger. Shipping was fast and the packaging was reasonable. Assembly was pretty straight forward. The included instructions were easy to follow. The bike rack itself is solid. The advertised "PATENTED ANTI-WOBBLE SYSTEM" works. There is 0 hitch to receiver movement. The locks work and the bikes themselves are stable and solid on the rack. The rack folds up and down with ease when attached to the truck. It does stick out from the rear of the vehicle more than a traditional hanger style bike rack, but that is to be expected. I can easily fit my bikes on with room to spare (one of them has a rear baby seat), and I can even retrieve the bikes in the middle without having to take all of the bikes off. A credit to Overdrive as a company: A few days after installing the bike rack and using it, either myself or one of my children misplaced the keys. This is bad news because without the keys, you can not take your bikes on and off the rack (if they are locked). Luckily my bikes were not on. But because of the hitch lock, the rack itself is stuck on the truck. I contacted Overdrive support via email, and within hours was pleasantly surprised to receive not only a response, but an amazon confirmation of a new set of shipped keys. Outstanding customer service.

Built Strong and sturdy price is great!
I recently moved to a "fat tire" "E-bike" for fun and for camping. Because of the weight and the large tube frame that houses the battery I was not able to use the standard hanging bike rake for the E-bike and instead was forced into transporting it inside of my RV causing it own sets of issues including just getting it inside without tearing or marking something up. I decided that I needed. to get a "Tray style" bike holder. So I started by looking at what I seen on other vehicles to give me ideas. I notice that the ones I'd seen that were big enough and rated for e-bike fat tire models were pretty costly and it would be almost cheaper to go with a small capacity motorcycle carrier. Then I came across the Overdrive Sport Carrier on Amazon and read the reviews etc. and I knew this one would work for all off my bike transporting needs. I usually only need to transport my wife's and my bike but sometimes we have our upper teenage boys with us and need to bring theirs as well. So here's what I think is another great part about this bike carrier... The outer 2 bike holders are a add on to the 2 bike carrier and only require 2 bolts to be install to make it the 4 place carrier so, I add it on when we need a 4 place carrier and leave it off when we don't. Its raised up enough to keep everything up high, Fully adjustable wheel trays fit any bike and even though its set up to handle fat tires the smaller bike tires fit nicely because of how the wheel holder narrows down on the ends. The bar hold downs work pretty good for me and the locks are better that nothing however, they're not perfect. If you have a tall bike and the other one is short or a step through it is possible to loosen the non-locking clamp and raise it up enough to get the bike out. I'd pay more to see all the clamps have there own lock. If your going just from point A to point B with out leaving the bikes out you really don't really need to use the locks but I'd recommend a good lock and cable for keeping your bike secure anyway. May be the manufacturer could offer locks on all clamps and charge more as a option? The anti rattle pin works well and uses the same lock key as the bar locks. This Rack works nicely behind the motor Home or when needed in the hitch in our vehicle we pull behind it (fitting past the rear mounted spare tire). Folds up nicely when not in use. Price is really y good for this sturdy bike carrier.

Sturdy but heavy
I bought this rack when it still had the option to remove the two outside carriers to make it a two bike carrier if desired. So far I’ve carried two heavy ebikes with no problem once I figured out the way to secure the frame hooks. I removed the little screw at the top of the hook upright arm so I could remove the hooks completely because my bikes were too big for the arm to swing up after mounting the bikes. I just make sure I tighten the hooks after reinstalling, and may drill a hole through the arm so I can put a removeable pin through there in case the hook(s) loosen. When the drawbar mount is installed in your 2” receiver and the included bolt is tightened in the pin hole, this carrier has no wobble whatsoever and seems almost like it’s part of your vehicle! I mount each bike by lifting the front wheel into a tire tray, then the back wheel. If two bikes, I just move the first bike into the inside frame the same way, swing the upright arm up, install the longer of the two hooks on that bike, then mount the second bike and hook. Once you have the trays adjusted, I suggest you always mount the bikes the same direction so you don’t have to refigure out what hook works on what bike the best! Once mounted and secured with hooks and straps, my two ebikes were rock solid on this rack even at 75mph. I haven’t carried four bikes yet, but believe they would be fine if I keep the speed down to 65 or less and not stress it by driving irratically. This carrier is heavy at around 80 pounds(or 40 pounds if used for two bikes and the outer 40 pound trays are removed). It also sticks out behind the vehicle a bit so needs a bit larger parking space. Be cautious when tipping the carrier up or down with the quick release lever as it is heavy whether you have bikes on it or not and will move quickly! So far this is a quality rack for hundreds less than some other four bike carriers. I’d give it 5 stars if it weighed about 20 pounds less and folded up a bit more compactly for storage.

If you are looking for a e-bike rack that will handle more than 2 bikes look no further as there is none that will match this. It is really beefy. I literally stepped on it and jumped up and down on it and it took it like a champ. Took 3-65lbs e-bikes + a regular bike on a 80 km trip and it did not wobble and made no squeaking sound. The 4 hooks that secures the bikes to the post are all lockable (some reviewers say only 2 are lockable). Installation is not as easy like a Hollywood Rack but you should take that as a positive as it won't be stolen that easily. I already been approached by few people asking where I got it as they have not seen a bike rack that can carry more than 2 e-bikes before. I would strongly suggest putting reflective tapes on the rack bars or attach a trailer light when you are carrying more than 2 bikes as the vehicle rear lights will be blocked by all bikes. I also think the company should put reflective tape along the cross bars to add visibility during night time. Overall it is the best e-bike rack one can buy. No need for the fancy ratcheting vertical post as this is better and won't get stuck. One tip is to not put those screws on the vertical posts so that you can remove the hooks when you are not using the the rack. This way you won't worry about the hooks exposed to the elements too much and will surely extend the life of the foam and lock on the hooks. It will also be faster to remove and install the bikes without the hooks on the posts. I would also suggest installing a anti-wobble contraption on the receiver for extra security. If you have 3-4 e-bikes on this thing and want to tilt it, you either forget about doing it or you need 2 people to do such a maneuver as this thing with load is VERY HEAVY.

After a year of use and a few thousand kilometers, it’s pretty good. One of the Velcro straps for the tire snapped in half and one of the knobs that tightens the bolts is now slipping, but otherwise not bad. I’ll be speaking to the seller about replacing those parts. Update. As of now, they offer zero support for failing parts.
