I wanted a low profile trail runner that took up minimal space in an overnight roller bag. This shoe is perfect. It is comfortable and has a great tread for walking on an uneven trail. My only complaint is that it is made for narrow feet. I have wide feet and they barely fit. So a caution to those of you in this situation.

Pictured left to right: Trail Glove 4, Trail Glove 5, Trail Glove 6. TLDR: Toe box in the Trail Glove 6 is much tighter than than Trail Glove 4 and a little tighter than the Trail Glove 5. This is pretty disappointing, the Trail Glove 4 is basically the perfect shoe with a well sized toe box, I felt that the Trail Glove 5 (I've barely worn it) was a step backwards in feeling more rigid in the arch and overall construction. Now trying the Trail Glove 6 , the toe box is pretty constricted, and makes me want to try another brand of shoe altogether, this is definitely disappointing because the Trail Glove 4 was a perfect everything shoe for work, exercise, and day to day. I'll be returning these unfortunately.

extremely narrow fit even after ordering a half size larger than usual, too much support for my tastes and too much padding similar to a nike wedge running shoe for me. over the years my foot has gone native and these have the feel of a vise even after several runs. Merrell ditched their line of barefoot shoes it's been a struggle to capture the feel of my 15yr old pair of awesome shoes that i had to hand stitch back together and are just now wearing through sole. so i've spent over $600 trying out versions of trail glove and vapor glove, each requiring that i adjust my size to the eccentric fit of each new generation or style. some style sound like clown shoes, some look like clown shoes, and most don't close to the comfort of that original design made in China, the Vietnamese productions are just much worse in durriblity and fit.

These aren’t barefoot shoes at all. I was very disappointed when they arrived and returned the same day. Small toe box, thick heel, and definitely not a zero drop shoe. Nothing compared to the way they used to be. Thumbs down
