I needed something to block Wisconsin’s frigid westerly wind that would freeze my outdoor water pump (even with a heater on it) and freeze ME as I filled many buckets of water for my horses each day. We got an early blast of winter this past week with strong winds and I told my family if the shelter survived those winds, I would write a five star review, and here it is! Yes, the directions to put it together were lacking and yes I made some mistakes, but the pieces are so easy to assemble and disassemble that I got it together, by myself, in under two hours. I added two sand tubes along the bottom on the back side to make sure no wind came under the shelter. It is wonderful to not have the wind taking my breath away. I am hopeful this will survive this winter and for many more after!

SW VA winds in January ripped this thing out of the ground, including the stakes for driving it into the ground, and pulled my motorcycle down onto the ground with it. Now I’ve got to get a new mirror and rear brake pedal.

I would have left 5 stars, but the instructions are not very helpful. Fortunately, I have some mechanical experience, and was able to figure it out pretty quickly. I just set it up today, so we’ll see how it does in the long run. I’m on the east side of tornado alley, and do get some serious wind here, along with snow and ice. Overall it seems like a quality product, and it’s the perfect size for my needs. I learned a long time ago with these types of storage systems that it’s best to duct tape all the joints. Helps keep everything in place, and doesn’t allow for damage to the cover during wind. Update: 1/29/26 Well, I didn’t expect to update this quickly, but we just got hit with some of the nastiest weather in some time. Wind, rain, snow, and ice. My bike shed held up well. No issues whatsoever. I’m very pleased with it so far. I keep a Govee in my covered boat, so I can monitor temperature, humidity, and dew point. So I put one in the shed too. Very inexpensive here on Amazon. $10-12 bucks I think is all. The little round one is the ones I use. Been 3 years in the boat and still working perfectly. Anyway, I digress. I highly recommend this little shed. Anxious to see how it holds up in the summer sun.

I bought this 8x8 shelter five months ago in March 2025. The current price is about a third less, but that could change. I did not use the fabric covering but instead just use the frame as a canopy frame with a tarp for a temporary patio in my backyard. For this it works well. The tubes are large and strong and are a big improvement over the popup canopy I was using for several years, whose legs finally broke in a 50+ mph wind. The cover seems to be the weak point in this anyway. They don't sell just the frame. I covered the frame with a 9x12 tarp and it works great. When the tarp deteriorates, it's a cheap and easy replacement. I laid rubber mats from a local DIY store on the ground over landscaping fabric to keep the mud and weeds at bay. The frame is a bit loose when you shake it because of the pins used to connect the tubes, but it was straightforward to put up and has been holding up well in storms and winds up to maybe 45 mph. The little bungee cords used to hold the cover to the frame are deteriorating in the sun, so I've been replacing them with cord to tie the tarp on. They should last better when used as designed in the interior of the shed, out of the elements. It did not come with enough stakes to fit all the holes in the feet, so I had to supplement them with steel nail-type tent stakes.

10'x20' model. I would give 4.8 stars if that was an option. The current version of this garage is well made with a heavy tarp material. Metal structure is good--around 130 pounds of steel tubing and fittings. All pieces were accurate length, shape, and the doors and tarp fit perfectly. The doors and tarp weigh around 40 pounds total. The tarp pulls down tight on the ends with the ratchet straps. Good design. Copied from shelter logic probably. Very easy to set up. 2 experienced people could do it in an hour. It took me 4 hours working alone, including anchoring it down--see below. The 24"x24" screened vents are a great idea. I will leave them propped open. Not sure what the wind will do the the little Velcro props The tarp extends out onto the ground at both sides. I put down long 2x4s on the tarp and placed seven 8x8x16 concrete blocks on the 2x4s on each side. I placed foam sheet between the concrete blocks and the sides of the garage to keep the blocks from chafing the tarp. If you push the bottom rail down when you finalize it and tighten the wing nuts, the rail tightens the tarp nicely. Not quite like the rendering in the ad, but close. I also used the included metal stakes, but they are inadequate to hold the garage down in a wind. Will the tarp hold up to the sun? Will the structure survive a 50mph gust of wind? Stay tuned. A similar shelter logic garage weighs almost double, but it costs almost double, so take your pick.
