Sulfur 8 Dandruff Treatment For Braids 12 oz. Spray

I have a really dry scalp. For example if i wash my hair, 3 days later the flakes will come. :( I bought this product to spray on my scalp when i have twists/braids installed and it does a fantastic job of keeping flakes away. With that being said, if you spray too often, this will cause build up so I would suggest rubbing a mix of ACV and water on a cotton ball on your scalp once a week. I spray my scalp with this every 2-3 days. The smell is kind of strong but goes away. Sometimes i even use it when i don't have braids installed by spraying a little on my fingers and massage into my scalp because this formula is lighter since its in liquid form. I love this stuff and highly recommend it if you have a dry, itchy scalp!

I have scalp psoriasis and usually within the first week or two of wearing braids my scalp will get super flaky and dry. I recently braided my hair and I have been using this spray almost everyday for two weeks and it has done such a good job at keeping my scalp free of flakes and dryness. I am so in love with this braid spray!

You get a lot in this bottle but I thought the spray would be similar to the gel in the jar as far as consistency..obviously looser. I got it to make oiling my scalp easier and quicker but it doesn’t work. I get it’s a spray but idk, it’s really wet so I haven’t used it as much to oil my scalp bc it frizzes my hair up that I usually wear straight or blow dried. I’m sure it’ll work better with braids since that’s the intended use.

This product saved me from almost literally tearing my hair out! I nearly had to take out my beautiful box braids after only 3 weeks because of dandruff. Honestly, I didn't even know I had it that bad until I couldn't stick to my normal hair washing schedule. My scalp was itchy and the flaking was out of control. I decided to give this a try before taking down a style that cost a lot of money and 11 hours of my time and I'm so glad I did! For 2 days straight I used it at least twice a day and the itching and flaking stopped completely! Once everything was under control I used it every other day (alternating with another leave in spray conditioner) and I'm itch/flake free. If I do get lazy and stop using Sulfur 8 the itching and the flaking come back. My only (very minor) complaint is the smell-- it reminds me of cheap lavender based perfumes but it's not strong and fades away fairly quickly. It's not enough of a problem to take away even half a star. If you have itchy braids get this!!

I was so happy that I could purchase this item from Amazon. Recently moved from California to Seattle & could not find the spray in any Seattle hair supply stores & decided to try Amazon. So happy that I did. The smell of the spray did not bother me or my spouse any, to be honest it doesn't smell bad compared to some other hair products that I have tried. It does the trick & keeps my scalp clear & free of any itches.
