I discovered this brand on my last trip to Germany in September and was so happy to have found it available for shipping here. The taste and texture of German bread is just so much better than when I get here in the US, for the most part. The price is about average for what I have purchased here (obviously it would be cheaper in Germany). The bread arrived fresh and still moist.

Good tasting rye bread that lasts a long time when refrigerated.

It was good German bread not great for the price of $3.99 last time ordered it 3 months ago . I was going to reordered it but now it’s almost $8 oh hell no it’s not that good not even close and plus delivery fee on top of that .! That’s crazy price for a half loaf of bread .!!

Pricey for bread, but when you want real German food, you have to splurge. Arrived fresh and not smushed!

I grew up with German bread in Germany. It’s very difficult to find good German rye sourdough bread in the US. This bread has a light texture, and doesn't really have a good sourdough taste. The slices are thinner than I’m used to from other breads, but that’s ok. The package the bread came in was bumpy, the bread was a bit deformed. I’ll eat it, and I’ll enjoy it, but it’s not what I was looking for. I’m willing to try some of the other Dimflmeier offerings. My fave bread however is Harry’s (Harry Brot, Altona) I bought in a German online shop. It comes directly from Germany. The shop I bought it from the last few years doesn’t seem to carry it this year. The search continues.
