Questa sedia da campeggio mi ha incuriosito per il peso che dovrebbe reggere 272Kg! Ammetto che non ci credevo finché non ho avuto la possibilità di esaminarla da vicino. La sedia mi è stata recapitata in una confezione di cartone ondulato aprendo la quale mi sono trovato davanti una custodia floscia di color nero con tanto di cinghia per portarla a spalla. Togliendo fuori dalla sua custodia la sedia mi sono accorta del suo peso effettivo che già da solo qualche conferma sulla sua robustezza riusciva a darmela. Una volta liberata dalla custodia floscia la sedia ho potuto constatare le dimensioni e la robustezza della sua struttura portante! Grossi tubi quadrati di metallo che in un batter d'occhio si trasformano in una sedia dalle dimensioni generose capace di accogliere lottatori di sumo! Un meccanismo a scatto permette alle gambe di allargarsi e bloccarsi in tutta sicurezza in posizione e lo stesso valle anche per la struttura tubolare dello schienale che si allunga a scatto e si blocca a fine corsa. A quel punto le dimensioni della seduta sono 53 x 53cm con una diagonale di 76cm, mentre l'altezza anteriore della seduta è di 41cm contro i 64cm dello schienale. Il tessuto che forma la seduta è molto robusto al punto di reggere insieme alla struttura tubolare portante ben 272Kg di peso! La sedia è munita anche di una tasca floscia per inserire un bicchiere/borraccia, mentre un cinghia di color bianco ha il compito di tenere chiuse le gambe della sedia una volta rinchiusa. Le istruzioni d'uso ci sono ma sono in lingua inglese. Questo non rappresenta un grosso problema anche perché il procedimento che porta alla preparazione della sedia è intuitivo. Tuttavia c'è un trucco e consiste nel bloccare in posizione le gambe prima di procedere all'allungamento della struttura tubolare superiore della seduta. altrimenti si rischia di dondolare fino a cadere. Fatto questo si procede con allungamento della struttura tubolare dello schienale e della parte anteriore della seduta. Una volta seduto sopra ammetto di aver avuto qualche minuto di incredulità e diffidenza temendo di cadere ma non è accaduto. Infatti se montata come si deve la sedia è stabile e sicura. Per smontarla e chiuderla di nuovo nella sua custodia floscia basta cominciare dall'accorciare la struttura tubulare dello schienale per poi fare lo stesso con quella della parte anteriore. A quel punto si rinchiudono i bracci e capovolgendo il tutto si va a tirare l'anello che sblocca le gambe permettendone la chiusura definitiva. Basta allora avvolgere il tutto con la cinghia di color bianco munita di chiusura a velcro per poterla inserire nella custodia floscia e metterla via. Punti a favore: - struttura portante e seduta molto robuste - facile da montare/smontare - facile da trasportare - custodia per trasporto a spalla Punti contro: nessuno Considerazioni finali: Si tratta di una sedia da campeggio/pesca che deve essere compatta, facile da trasportare e da usare ma soprattutto robusta e sicura. Posso confermare che non smentisse e che mantiene le promesse! Da chiusa nella custodia la sedia pesa 2,54 Kg e le sue dimensioni sono 43,18 x 99cm. La sedia è molto comoda anche se piuttosto bassa ma questo si rende necessario dovendo essere facilmente trasportabile pur riuscendo a reggere utilizzatori di peso non indifferente. Passati i primi minuti di incertezza mi sono reso conto che non correvo alcun rischio di cadere perché la sedia è effettivamente molto robusta e stabile. Ho fatto richiesta di questa sedia perché ne sentivo il bisogno di una sedia del genere durante i miei soggiorni in campeggio oppure le battute di pesca. Per quanto mi riguarda la sedia ha soddisfatto le mie aspettative e quindi mi dovrà seguire e "sopportare" nelle mie attività fuoriporta. La trovo un ottimo attrezzo da campeggio che vale il suo prezzo, il che la dice tutta! Non c'è confronto tra questa sedia ed i classici sgabellini da 10€ made in China, qui siamo proprio in un altro pianeta! Promossa a pieni voti!

Un fauteuil de camping tout à fait appréciable : Je n'avais pas de personne de 272kg sous la main donc je n'ai pas pu tester ses limites, mais j'y ai installé une personne de 130kg sans aucun problème. Le fauteuil est confortable et je l'utilise parfois chez moi. Il possède également une poche latérale pour y déposer bouquins, smartphones ou boissons. Son seul hic est sa stabilité, il faut faire attention en se relevant à ne pas basculer car l'envergure des pieds est assez petite. Très satisfait.

What a great camping chair! I recently lost my favorite lightweight camping chair to an unfortunate fire/wind incident. Needless to say, that was quite a bummer. Well, I guess there's a reason for everything because this chair is way more comfortable than my old chair. I will say, this chair deploys differently than any other chair I've used. You have to pull a pin on the bottom, then extend the detent-secured arms...it's all very complicated but once you've done it once or twice it's rather intuitive. I do wish this chair had dedicated arm rests. The sides of the chair do come up enough for you to rest your arms on, but it's not the same. Haven't tested this out on mushy ground yet but it seems like it would do well on uneven ground. Very sturdy and adjustable. It supports my 280lb body with zero issues. Very highly recommended.

I bought this chair to support my larger frame since it has a claimed capacity of 600 lbs, and I weigh a fraction of this, less than half. Nevertheless, when I really needed this chair, to rest during a long bike ride, it completely self destroyed when I sat on it. A major disappointment and a clear case of false advertisement.

This is a review of the MTRVR Camping Chair. Overall, I rate it a 4.7 out of 5.0 stars. This has a lot of features that I was looking for in a chair that was super compact and did not have separate pieces that needed to be put together. Positives: 1. Everything is attached to the chair. I have a chair similar to the Helinox Zero chair. What bugs me about the chair is that the legs come separate from the nylon cloth seating material. I have to put the cloth on the ground while I connect all the legs of the frame together, though they are still tethered together, then stretch the cloth over the frame. The MTRVR comes all attached and just folds in one direction with the legs surrounding the seating cloth. This minimizes your chance of losing pieces or dropping the seating material on a wet/muddy ground. 2. The chair folds as compact as the Helinox Zero backpacking chair. 3. The chair appears to have thicker legs and to be much sturdier build than most chairs in this category. 4. Ease of setting up and wrapping up when leaving. Just unfold and snap the legs down into the locking position to set up. Putting it away after is just a release of the lock and fold the legs up together and velcro the legs with the attached strap. 5. Comfort of the chair if you are with the normal limits of an average human. Negatives: 1. This chair is durable, and this means it is a lot heavier than a similar packed Helionix Chair. I did not weigh both, but it felt 2-3 times as heavy. 2. This chair may not be comfortable for someone maybe under 4'10" (legs may not reach the ground and may cut off circulation) or even fit a big framed person like someone well over six feet (it is not the widest chair with enough back support). Overall, we rate this a 4.7 out of 5.0 stars. This is an easy to set up, compact, durable, comfortable camping chair. However, you will not take it hiking due to the weight and if you are on the extremes of size and height, it may not work for you.
