Evil Controllers Astro C40 TR Controller Replacement Thumb Stick Kit with Protension

The Astro c40 is a magnificent controller. But, it has one major flaw. The joystick modules are absolute crap. Joystick modules will start to stick and develop drift that calibration cannot fix. These replacement modules are like a gift from God. The pro tension modules feel absolutely perfect. The added spring tension snaps the stick back immediately to perfect dead center. After replacing a malfunctioning joystick module, I used it for a little over a week and then immediately ordered the same module for my other joystick, Even though it works fine right now. If you own a c40 you owe it to yourself to buy these modules.

So I love my Astro C40 for PS4 but recently the sticks started to cause issues while playing. I play Apex mostly (and other shooters) and I've ran into an issue where the sticks like to randomly stop register that I'm running. It's almost as if I let off of the stick and then start walking. Very frustrating when you are in a gun fight. So I go to the Astro website to possibly pick up a replacement stick and find out they are out of stock. This is when I decide to look elsewhere and stumble on these little guys. I was intrigued by the "pro tension" feature so I ordered and waited patiently. I ordered them on a Friday and it made it to me the following Friday. I installed the stick that night and the "pro tension" feature was no joke. These are stiff sticks. Since I only replaced onee stick it was a bit weird to have one with less tension and one with more but I managed. The module and stick was a bit confusing to install, and I'm still not sure I have it the correct way. It shows on their website that you are supposed to put the cone shaped cover back over the module but if you do that, you can't use the sticks that were provided to you by evil controllers. Also, if you do that the stock stick is a bit wobbly so i would recommend just putting the module in and then pushing the evil controller provided stick down onto the module once installed (leave the cone off). I felt like I had to push pretty hard but it didn't seem to damage anything. Now after a couple days of use I have decided to purchase another stick but this time from their website directly. You can use Amazon pay or paypal which is nice. It's also a bit cheaper if you don't need expedited shipping. Overall satisfied but I do worry about their durability over the long term considering two of them is about $65 I hope I get my money out of it.

I've been using Evil pro tension stick modules for 2 years now and just now had to replace one of them. After 2 years of hard use, one of the modules started to stick a little. The pro tension isn't for everyone, but I absolutely love them. Highly recommend Evil products!!!
