Previously ive used the screw on tips and more simple burning pen and it worked but when I set out to do a bigger project I gave this a go. I LOVE IT !! The heat is consistent giving burn. The dial allows you to be precise in the heat you want to use. It does get a little warm around the base area however it is nothing wearing proper safety equipment like gloves would bother anyone. Used for about 8 hrs straight and no issues so far . Glad I spent the extra $10 to get this one instead of a replacement pen.

Bought as a birthday gift for my daughter, she’s an artist and wanted to try burning wood. She says it’s the best thing EVER! everything ya need to do a project is in the box, be careful it heats up in seconds!

I absolutely love this unit. I am new to wood burning and had originally bought the brass tip unit. It was ok, I did some research and decided to purchase this wire tip unit. I am very happy I decided to try it! I prefer this one much better and quality is great. Heats up fast and also cools down quickly. Comes with everything pictured. The temperature dial is quite sensitive and not really easy to set to a “specific “ temp. As I am using it the temperature does fluctuate slightly on its own. It has been well used thus far. Very pleased.
