Good product slightly costly but worth it.

Braun...you are love.... Bought this again after almost 25 years of using it... still working like a beast.. but still bought a new one and its even better this time... absolute killer product n quality.... plz dnt stop making these products....🙌🙏🏽👍🏻

Quality is good. Very nice for buttermilk

Braun hand blenders are good. I use it directly into the cooking pot (mostly pressure cooker) after boiling vegetable to make soup. Traditional granders are quite inconvenient in this regard. The blender is made in Poland and the packaging was bare-minimum and the plastic cup was delivered broken. I have almost no need for that cup and therefore I didn't return the item but some initial impression was lost.

Good working. Light weight and easy fix

Writing this review after about eight months of regular use of this blender. I have not faced any issue so far. The motor is powerful and does its job within seconds without any over-heating. The rubber cover material on the power On-Off switch and the blender body material is of high quality. The overall design of the blender is sleek and elegant. This is the real value for money. Highly recommended for a great performance and peace of mind.

The chopping quality is very poor. The entire food is mashed. Overall not value for the money paid.

Afordble strong blender

Being a product of the Braun name (or rather, of a company now owned by Procter & Gamble, licenced for manufacturing by DeLonghi and designed by Braun Design), this blender may be reviewed in reference to Braun/Dieter Rams' Ten Principles of Good Design. It should be added that this design of blender was first introduced by Braun in about 1998, during a time (Rams having left in 1995) when management appeared to be regressing on the "restrictive" design language which made Braun famous, with the effect of the designs becoming increasingly similar to rival brands. (1 - Good design is innovative) - Being a budget product, there is not much scope for radical innovation, but the "Powerbell" head design seems effective in stirring a continuous cyclone whilst blending; it has been a feature of Braun's blenders for about 20 years now. (2 - Good design makes a product useful) - There is nothing here which makes a waste of the £18 price or a waste of space in the cupboard, everything included is necessary in a blender. Its range of functions is wide, too. I have so far used it for fruit smoothies, turning "peasant's broth" into a dhal-like texture, and for making surprisingly successful Angel Delight. The 450-watt motor is surprisingly powerful for a blender of this price, and seems capable of blending some frozen fruits. (3 - Good design is aesthetic) - The glossy white plastic is typical of Braun's recent devices, and acts as a sufficiently grippy surface. The ergonomics are less successful than the curvaceous design might suggest - the slanted top cap seems to slope the wrong way to create a comfortable grip, but that is very minor. The combination of the curving body and the "Powerbell" created the impression of a mermaid or a squid in escape, when removed from the box and assembled. The more rational design of Ludwig Littmann's MR300 blender of 1987 appears more pleasing to me. (4 - Good design makes a product understandable) - There is only one control button to interact with, so this criteria is easily satisfied. The only missing feature is an indication of which way to twist the base in order to remove it. (5 - Good design is unobtrusive) - The white design is certainly neutral and likely to blend in, it is also easy to store in a compact manner. If the colour of the control button was as indicated on the Amazon pictures, then the design certainly will be obtrusive - in reality, it is a much less offensive shade of green. (6 - Good design is honest) - There is nothing here to suggest that the blender is more functionally substantial than it is, although most of the stem is hollow, despite its substantial width which may have suggested the presence of mechanical workings. (7 - Good design is long-lasting) - The motor unit is reassuringly heavy and the casing is very solid. The removable stem is less substantial in construction, but can be replaced if necessary. The power rating of the motor seems to have increased from 200 watts in 1998 to 450 watts more recently, despite the body design being identical. Hopefully that increase in power is well-accommodated in terms of motor cooling, etc. All I can suggest is not to continuously run the motor for extended periods of time - ideally less than 30 seconds at a time, followed by a brief pause to keep the motor cool. Most blenders suggest this in the instructions. (8 - Good design is thorough down to the last detail) - The engineering of the blender seems assured, with a serviceable interface between the motor and the detachable spline in the stem. The casing is well-finished, although some of the curves along the stem profile seem quite arbitrary and abrupt - Dieter Rams would never have had that if he was still head of design. (9 - Good design is environmentally-friendly) - Mass-produced electric appliances will never do the environment any favours, but Braun seems to be somewhat more responsible than other brands. The blender, I am glad to say, is made in Poland (the UK plug made in Spain); an entirely European undertaking, not relying on the penny-pinching and environmentally irresponsible practices of some Chinese manufacturers. Less mass-transportation, too. (10 - Good design is as little design as possible) - I have always respected the Braun's culture of delivering quality but without frills or pretentiousness. This blender is one example of not feeling it necessary to introduce a new version of a product (Iphone-style) every year; this one being mostly unchanged for 20 years. The savings from keeping the same tooling and avoiding unnecessary product development can be invested in increasing the quality and longevity of the product, without substantially inflating the purchase cost. At the same time, if a new innovation is realised, that will be embraced in developing a new version. It does seem unfortunate that Braun's product ranges have now been split into different companies, making the quality between companies inconsistent, but it looks like many of Braun's new products may be taking some inspiration from the spirit of Braun's golden period (probably 1955-1995). This blender, for the price, is certainly a very strong offering from the complex entanglement of companies which constitutes Braun today.
