I ordered a pkg of Ghirardelli’s chocolate squares, the dark chocolate raspberry flavor, and was sent an old pkg of expired dried out candy. The chocolate was turning colors and the filling was dried up inside. The packaging even looked cracked and dried out. The expiration date on the bottom said: 3/31/23….literally 3 months from now! The candy inside looked like it was 1 year or more past the expiration date! You can’t find this flavor in the stores at Christmas or too much anymore. I wouldn’t recommend buying candy online like this because you never know how long it has sat on the shelf.

There’s nothing wrong with the taste of the chocolates. The problem is that the package must have gotten crushed in transit. First 5 of 5 broken in their individual wrappers. Because the filling is liquid raspberry, the chocolates are stuck to the wrappers on the inside. It doesn’t affect the taste, but it’s disappointing. These need to be shipped in a box, not the thin, bubble wrap envelope they came in. Delivery was next day, which was good. I would give the chocolates 5 stars, but I took 2 off for the packaging.
