The orange tip is there, but overall it has a very detailed design. Because of that, this is definitely something that needs to be used responsibly and not taken out in public settings. As far as function goes, it is a lot of fun. The shell ejecting feature is what makes it stand out. Loading the soft pellets into the shells and then into the magazine adds an extra step compared to basic dart blasters, but it also makes the experience more engaging. When you fire and the shell pops out, it adds that extra layer of realism that makes target practice more entertaining. The build feels solid for a toy in this price range. I’m gonna be honest you’re better off buying a different gun from Amazon. The bullets hurt your figures. sometimes they don’t even go inside. Also finding the bullets is hell and the quality is poor.

This thing is is shockingly detailed in its action, but a pain in the butt to pick up all the discarded casings to put the bullets back in them. I also absolutely would not give this to a small child, or even most children. I'd say it's more appropriate for adults, or teens who demonstrate they understand the gravity of pointing a realistic toy gun. The orange tip is so small that a cop could easily mistake it for a real gun with a ceracoat. I can definitely see it being useful in making story based videos for social media. If you shoot it outdoors, make sure you keep track of where you shoot it so you can recover the casings for later reuse.

Needed it as a prop for a short film for a small scene, it is nice you can acutally rack the slide. worked for what i needed it for but i can not speak about the toy function it self.
