I used this type of connector with an older iPhone to project the screen to a tv and when I updated my iPhone it now took a USB-C connector not lightning so I was forced to buy this adapter. My original adapter was an Apple product. This one is not but Apple compatible. It has performed as well as my other adapter. The connection was perfect, the screen image mirrored to my tv and I was able to watch with perfect sound the programs from my iPhone to tv.

Fast to arrive, easy to use and exactly what I needed. Went on a girl's trip recently and we wanted to have movie nights in the hotel, so I bought this to stream things off my device. Worked like a charm with a 10th gen iPad and and an iPhone 15. No issues.

I put five stars because it does work but, its a cheap and a third party adapter so any newer phones, or ipads or capture cards if you are using it to stream do not pick up audio it will pick up video but no audio, i tried it with a cheap capture card and had audio and video, I have a El gato capture card 4k S and it picked ip video but no audio do to it requiring more than what the adapter was able to give it, if you have like an iphone 14 or newer maybe 15 u might conside looking at other options specifically if they are a pro version do to it being a 120 hz screen, over all its not bad for starting to stream or simple screen mirroring which almost any device can do it now adays i hope this helps.

Works as intended

Bought to hook a projector to my iPad. Worked perfect. Great outdoor movie night.

Bought this for the ipad to run playback graphics. It feels solid, built well for an adapter. Doesn't put out any heat that I can notice and the picture quality from the ipad does not experience any artifacts or interference. All good there! It's easy! Just plug and play and you're off to the races!

Do not purchase this item. At first it was working perfectly and as expected, and now five months after purchase it is no longer working. My laptop would not connect to my monitor anymore, and if it did connect it would briefly connect and then the screen would flash and disconnect. I went and bought a higher quality adapter from Walmart for $40 and my laptop connected with no problem.

This device works to let me mirror my macbook display through a usb-c port, but does not work with my Apple iPad Pro (3rd Gen). Would not recommend.
