Great product. Use it to strip stains and spots off of automotive glass, works great. Been using it 40 years and it has never let me down.

We painters use it in body shops because it contains no waxes or silicones which makes it ideal for applying paint but its great for non pros too. The most economical solution for removing heavy stains and deep scratches. Apply by hand only do not use a polisher. For lighter scratches use Turtle Wax polishing compound. Its essential to understand the difference between rubbing and polishing compounds both are clear coat safe but you must follow up with a wax job after these compounds

Pros: - This rubbing compound does a great job working through tough oxidized paint - The tub gives you a lot of product, easily enough for 4 - 6 complete car jobs - Works great with hand application and rotary buffer Cons: - If you let any compound dry on any car panels or glass for too long, it takes a lot of elbow grease to remove. Because the polish is red, it leaves very noticeable splatter - Compound is a paste, so it does dry much faster than its liquid equivalents Overall, this product is a great value. You can't beat the price and it does its job well so long as you cover up any parts of the car you aren't working on and you are quick to clean up after any splatter as it happens. It's also important to know that this rubbing compound will not give you a mirror finish. It's made gritty enough to help remove oxidation, deeper clear coat scratches, and overspray. You should be sure to follow this up with a finer polishing compound in order to restore your car paint back to factory condition.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I've been using this product for years and have been having problems with availability from brick and mortar stores. It's the best for removing stubborn oxidation from sun deterioration especially on my hood and trunk. I use a orbital buffer and apply it sparingly at low speeds diluted with a lot of water for best results. Repeat until the glossy surface comes back.

couldn't source locally so i bought here. an old staple for cleaning rust from chrome, cleaning paint, and overall medium duty abrasive compound jobs.

Works but needs better shipping

works great to remove minor scrapes. I live in Boston area so others are always backing into car bumpers etc. and this has removed all of those minor scrapes so the bumper and fenders still look new.

I have to park my car under a bridge every day for work. Needless to say, my car has accumulated quite the plethora of stains. I meant to clean them up all summer but never did. I actually wondered if they'd ever come off, as nothing I tried (car wash, different cleaning products, etc.) ever worked. Then a co-worker who had a similar problem told me about Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound. With the weather lately, I decided to give it a go, and miraculously, my car looks like new! It took some elbow grease to get out the stains, but seriously, this stuff is amazing! I barely scratched the surface in the can, so come this summer when I'm sure my car will be covered in similar stains, I'll still be set!
