Powerful and so clean sounding amplifier, Just Get It
Excellent clean sounding amplifier, just excellent. Small in size, powerful output, great build quality and good quality components - it has everything that I would want. It sounds so super clean even on running hard, amazing. I use 48v 10a psu with it and it can drive my floorstand speakers with ease. Simple but elegant, enough space between speaker connectors that I could use my thick cables without issues. Volume control is a big plus too. All this for so reasonable price, unbeatable. Highly Recommended

Warm and rich but can be too forced and fatiguing.
I paired this with Fosi ZD3 DAC with Elac Debut b5.2. It produces warm and rich, bassy sounds. But the highs are too forced. It provides details but can be noisy for polysymphonies and altogether fatiguing. Rock songs sounds especially bad but simpler vocals and ballads stand out. In the end I returned this in favor of the SMSL ao200 MKii (no affiliation).

Outstanding class D amplifier
I must say that at first I was not that impressed. But like most quality amps they have got to be burned it. Today I am so impressed with what this amp can do. I keep my volume turned up and control it at my keyboard and there is no noise. Great highs and amazing bass. What first got my attention was I was listening to one of my 24 bit FLAC recordings and this, never before herd, drum snare sound came on and I thought, “what the heck is that?” There was a crispness that I had never herd before. I backed up the recording to listen again. My jaw dropped and I knew at that moment this is a special amplifier. From that day forward I am still hearing new sounds. I played Stevie Ray Vaughn and his brothers album, Brothers the other day and discovered more new sounds. If your interest are into clear 24 bit streaming or recordings but don’t want to spend thousands then this amp is for you. Highly recommend

Crystal clear, dynamic, powerful, and detailed
The 3e Audio A7 is crystal clear, dynamic, powerful, and detailed—kinda blows my mind. It’s hands down the best amp I’ve ever had in my system. Worth every penny, no question. I was thinking about upgrading my JBL Studio 530s, but now, I’m not so sure I need to. This A7 is a major upgrade for me, makes my speakers sing in a way I didn’t expect. All amps don’t sound the same. I’m not some audiophile, too cheap for that fancy stuff, but I can tell the difference. I had a little issue with my setup, thought it might be the A7 at first. So, I emailed 3e Audio support, and wow, they got back fast. They were super responsive, way above and beyond the call of duty. Turns out it was my setup messing up, not the amp. I really appreciate their patience and how they stuck with me.

Unit Started Malfunctioning After 3 Months of Light Use
This is a follow up to the original review. The 3e Audio A7 amplifier started malfunctioning, in which power was cycling on and off at roughly 8 to 10 second intervals. The two blue "clip" LED indicators illuminate solid (not flickering or blinking) during the "on" part of the cycle. (When the unit was working, the "clip" indicators didn't illuminate at all. The amp was never run "hard.") There is no sound or noise from the speakers. Since the A5 was already a disappointment, I hope I can get some assistance from 3e Audio. These products are too expensive to have such poor reliability. (I also own Fosi, Aiyima, and Douk products, and never had a functional problem with any of those items.) I changed my review rating to "one star." If 3e offers customer service to resolve this issue, I will revise the review again. =============== If you read my review of the A5 unit, it had a design flaw which prevented the unit from being powered down without the power automatically going back on again after a few seconds.... Due to the "standby" mode being too sensitive and powering the unit back on, even with the absence of audio signal. There is a workaround with the A7, which I was not able to do with the A5: ***Be sure the volume knob is turned all the way down before doing this. Disconnect the input cables from the unit, and temporarily install "shorting plugs" at the RCA inputs. (This makes the unit "see" absolutely no audio signal in "standby mode" and hence won't trigger the unit to power back on.) Power the unit down as usual by holding down the knob. (The power won't trigger back on with the shorting plugs in place.) Now you can "disable" the "standby mode" by holding the volume knob while powered down, wait for the "RCA" LED to flicker. (Without the shorting plugs, trying to disable the "standby mode" doesn't work because the unit powers back on before the "disable procedure" is completed. This was what made me unable to disable "standby mode" on the A5 under any circumstance.) Then remove the shorting plugs and re-connect the unit as normally set up. The unit will now power down without turning back on. Like the A5, the A7 has exceptional sound quality for an inexpensive Class D amplifier. What stands out about this amplifier is the "clarity" in the upper registers, and the absence of "Class D" sound, heard in other inexpensive amplifiers. (It should more like a Class AB amplifier, if you will.) I would upgrade the review rating for both units to five stars if the "default" is updated with the "standby mode" being disabled, or if the trigger threshold for powering back on wasn't so sensitive. (The "standby mode" can be enabled again, but then the "shorting plug" procedure stated above would still be the only way for me to disable it again.)

Great clean power.
I got these to pair with my avr for my front right left speakers. Works well for my speakers that go down below 4 ohms in a good chunk of the lower frequencies. Priced very competitively against other high quality amps. If you need more power youll need a 48v 10amp power brick. Should be an option to choose from.

Clean low distortion power amp that integrates well with Wiim Ultra
Initially I was a bit underwhelmed with this amp when I tried it with my main music system that normally has a 250 watt per channel Adcom amplifier driving NHT tower speakers. I think my first mistake was not level matching it with the Adcom amp. I moved the A7 to my small room home theater where I do not use surround sound. I am must running Left and Right stereo speakers with a subwoofer and using Wiim Ultra preamp/streamer. The A7 works beautifully in this application and I could not be more pleased with the sound and the seamless way it integrates with the Wiim Ultra. Highly recommended especially when it goes on sale.
