Review: Bridesmaid By Chance is my fourth Meghan Quinn book this year and my third in the month of April... and it gets five shiny stars! Okay, yes, this book is hilarious, sexy as hell, and fun... but it also truly shocked me with its emotional depth! Hudson is strong, takes charge, and is business first... but his type A personality is really his downfall! Watching his growth after Sloane comes into his life was so delightful to watch! I loved the back and forth of their relationship and that fine line between love and hate! I haven't read too many marriage of convenience troped romances, but this one worked really well for these modern times, with a little play on the regency era! And speaking of play - that subtle nod to Vivian's brown and polka dot dress was so well done because that moment truly had all the Pretty Womam vibes! Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin did a phenomenal job with their audiobook narration! Just turn to chapter seven to experience how amazing Clarke is as he perfectly switched his voice between two male characters! Edwin sounded young and fun, fitting Sloane's personality perfectly! Okay, so you see what I mean, right? This one was all the things I've come to love and expect from Quinn, yet seemed to have even more emotional depth than her other books! Review: This is the perfect romcom book by far this year. It has the most sizzling tension and laugh out loud moments with a side of heartfelt emotions. The second I read the last page I felt a complete emptiness from this book. I honestly did not know what to do with myself. This is definitely one of the best marriage of convenience trope books and it's filled with the best witty banter and ridiculously undeniable chemistry between Sloane and Hudson. And I will always think of Hudson Hopper when I see bubble gum. Ifykyk. lol Hudson believes that it would be impossible for them to be together l'm not true love has no place within their deal but Sloane has this infectious charm and gentleness with a splash of kindness to her that she slowly starts to breakdown his walls and try to be that person that he needs to fall on because he is always the guy to be there for someone else. I love within the agreement she is made to live with him creating this forced proximity for both Which leads to some of the funniest mishaps and unexpected moments of sweetness and emotions being put on the line. Overall, if you want witty banter, a very delicious slow burn then this books is for you!

My favorite of the series!! This story had me laughing out loud so many times! It also had some steam && a little heartbreak for me, but 90% of the time I couldn’t keep the smile off my face. Classic Meghan comedy!! After a hilarious whirlwind beginning, Hudson && Sloane find themselves in a marriage of convenience to help each other out. They both benefit from this. Sloane is able to help her && her sister, Hudson is able to be accepted into a fancy club in order to help secure himself a business deal. Win - win right? They can do this && then go their separate ways after? Wrong. The chemistry was there from the beginning with these two! It was one hilarious story watching Sloane wear him down! These were both such good characters.. both relatable in so many ways, && both relatable to me specifically. Sloane was so strong in how she always stood up for herself && fought for what she wanted. Plus she was just so freaking hilarious!! Hudson.. so strong on the outside, but so desperate to be accepted on the inside. I love these two characters so much! Plus the steam??? Dear lord!! Easily my favorite book of the series.

Loved this Meghan Quinn book! I’ve read all of the Bridesmaids for Hire series and each one was as good as or better than the others. I love books that are linked, but are still independent reads. The characters Meghan develops in these books are relatable and I love seeing the men struggle in navigating relationships with women who are strong and teach them that communication is the key. Hudson lets us see that people have scars and insecurities, no matter how successful and polished they appear. Sloane is nature beyond her years and is able to navigate complex settings to complement Hudson as he endeavors to accomplish his goals. It’s a bumpy road, but I loved traveling it with Hudson and Sloane. Meghan is spot on interjecting humor in her stories. In life, we need to laugh and to love well.

Meghan is once again proving why she is at the queen of the rom-com. Sloane and Hudson had me laughing out loud and wanting to never put them down. The tension, the banter, the emotional connection these two build make you invested in their story from start to finish. It also has the moment with the best friend/brother that you crave in a brother’s best friend romance story and Jude’s reaction to their marriage is everything I could want and more. Hudson hires his best friend’s little sister to be his assistant… and nothing more, despite how badly he may want more. When an opportunity presents itself to save face for his company, Hudson volunteers Sloane as a replacement bridesmaid for a wedding. But when Sloane realizes that they both can gain something from Hudson’s little blunder, she proposes an idea - literally. They leave for the UK married and set out onto this new adventure. Their time in the UK feels like being back in London myself and all the hilarity ensues makes me want to go back and recreate some of their fun.
