Best Mobile Controller
As a budget-friendly option, the GameSir X5 Lite is a fantastic choice for mobile gamers. The lightweight design and comfortable ergonomic grips make for a great handheld experience, turning your phone into a legitimate gaming device. It has a sturdy build and the Hall Effect sticks are a premium touch, providing smooth and accurate control without the worry of stick drift. The direct USB-C connection ensures a lag-free experience, and the pass-through charging is a game-changer, letting you play for hours on end without your battery dying. It's a simple, no-frills controller that delivers on its promises and is an excellent value for the price.

So worth it
Great controller for the price. However I did return it for a couple reasons. 1. The controller doesn’t work with Wuthering Waves on iOS. There’s a workaround where if you plug another controller into the device and get controller functionality to work then disconnect that controller and quickly plug the X5 lite in, it works just fine. Really strange imo. 2. The handles and thumb sticks are a little small for my hands. It’s really nice looking and initially feels great but I noticed my hands getting slightly worn out when using this for a couple hours. Not even bad just slightly noticeable. Overall I actually really liked this controller. If it wasn’t for it not working with WuWa I would’ve kept it. It works with ZZZ and Xbox cloud gaming flawlessly which is nice. I have a 16 Pro Max and it’s a perfect fit to me. Super sleek looking and it would be really easy to travel with. The pass through charging is also super nice too. It was really convenient having that when playing in bed. It also snapped right in and worked. Didn’t even download the app or anything it was just ready to go. I also like how quiet the buttons are. I got the Gamesir G8 Galileo (which is how I found out about the work around to get this controller to work on WuWa) and the buttons are noticeably louder on that controller over this one. Triggers, ABXY buttons and the D-pad are all really enjoyably quiet on this controller. I would definitely recommend if you’re either on a budget, don’t play WuWa on mobile or just want something compact to carry around. This things gonna end up being the Backbone killer. Totally worth it!

The best mobile controller for you (if you are okay with sacrifice)
This controller is SOLID. After using it for some time now and getting some mileage on it, I think it’s fair to finally tell you why this is a solid controller (if you are ok with some sacrifice) Short story: I’m coming off of a BackBone One (PS) that I had and loved. Now with the iPhone 16 with usb c, I had to start looking for a new one. I want to give you some of the pros and cons about this controller to help you make a more informed decision rather than just going the easy route and saying “it great 👍👍👍” Games I’ve tested this controller with: Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Call of Duty Mobile Zenless Zone Zero Honkai: Star Rail Dead Cells Stardew Valley Warframe Steam Link/Xbox Cloud (have not tried PlayStation remote play so I do apologize if this review doesn’t have EVERYTHING) Pros: the controller is built with great features. It has weight, and stretches quite a bit (for those who like a larger screen like an iPad mini or other usb c supported small tablets). It has pass through charging which in my opinion is amazing, allowing you to charge your device while still holding the controller comfortably. The buttons feel smooth, responsive and very tactile. It comes with rubber pad to help secure the device and make it snug and even has a protruding usb c port to allow electronics with cases (thickness depending) to sit in. The instruction booklet, while absolutely confusing, does go over some of the cool features like switching between android and iPhone. Connecting to games was (mostly) seamless and worked as intended for most of the games I was playing. Cons: while the device has pass through charging and a usb c connector, the fact it doesn’t come with a headphone jack for more in game immersion is a bit strange, I can understand that we’re in an age of Bluetooth headphone technology, so not a huge issue whatsoever. The app is a mess. It doesn’t have REAL support for this controller right now so maybe that will change in the future but as it stands, don’t bother wasting space on the app until it’s supported. Although most games I played had support right from the go, some of them were a bit more trouble some, that being specific buttons that I would associate with being specific prompts would flat out not work and would put me in some rather unstable predicaments. The controller doesn’t have PC support, so don’t expect to get a standalone controller out of this as well, which is a shame. If you ask me, if you’re coming off of something like a Kishi or Backbone and need something solid without breaking the bank, this is a snag for sure, plus it makes a great gift for the gamer on the go. However, as far as I have experienced, don’t expect full controller capabilities from it. it does more than most controllers similarly priced, and that’s perfectly fine.

Works great for Stardew Valley on iPhone, even with a phone case!
Bought this solely for playing Stardew Valley on my iPhone 16 and it works great. The instructions were a bit lacking so it took some searching around to figure out how to switch it from "Android" to "Switch" mode in order to work with my iPhone but once there it stays there so I don't have to worry about it. The controller also included various thicknesses of rubber pads that go alongside the USB-C plug which allowed me to fit my phone into the controller without taking my phone case (a standard Speck case) off which was another concern. The buttons are a little cheap feeling but they work just fine and the whole controller is nice and light which is appreciated so no complaints. I did not have to configure any buttons either, it worked as a normal control would once plugged in and set to "Switch" mode. Would recommend!

Worth the price
It’s a rather sturdy controller for the price, not so flimsy in the hands. The pass through charging is rather picky as you can’t use any of the modern fast chargers. There’s no audio pass through so grab some headphones while your at it. The apps don’t work in iPhone but toughen than that it’s a solid controller

Works really well for Android phones with USB-C ports and barely needs any set up. Grip is comfortable and feels solid enough even though it is rather light.

This arrived maybe 15-20 minutes ago and connected to my Sony Xperia 5V without issue. I haven't bothered setting up any of the buttons and downloaded Sonic the Hedgehog (original) to play. This is perfect. It feels good in my hand and the size is portable and will easily fit in my bag when travelling. I never considered playing games like this and am old school with it. I prefer 8-bit and 16-bit games.. I really do need Streetfighter II and am struggling to find it. But Golden Axe, maybe Altered Beast and a couple others I'll find today. I am really impressed with this. The price is really good, the device itself feels nice in my hands, and you have made a 43 year old very happy. Thank you xx
