Great protective mat !! Lays flat and is tough enough to survive the outdoors. Of good thickness and provides plenty of working space . Black color. Not one of those flimsy ones that can blow away or get tangled up under your feet. I definitely recommend this one !! Placed it on our wooden deck under the Blackstone 28 inch and it provides extra protection around the working area and not just under the grill.

This mat is perfect for my needs. So what do I like about it you may ask ? I’m glad you asked...! First is the size. The size may seem overkill at first. I wanted a mat however to not only cover the cooking chamber but also to cover the side tables in case there were accidental spills or grease drippings from the bbq utensils. Secondly, I wanted a mat that laid flat, was heat resistant and easy to clean. This mat (as you can see from the photo) came rolled up but laid flat right out of the box. The manufacturer claims that it is heat resistant up to 500 degrees. I wiped up some grease drippings effortlessly. The textured top surface acts as a non-slip surface but it’s still easy to clean. Thirdly, it looks nice ! Ok, it’s an ego trip but still I like to be proud of what I own...LOL! To sum things up, I’m so glad I choose this mat for my grill 😁 P.S. Do you enjoy charcoal grilling? Then you will LOVE the PK 360 grill (shown in my picture). Yeah it’s a bit pricey, but it is unsurpassed in build quality. It is all cast aluminum so there’s nothing to rust. It will last your lifetime and probably your heirs as well (some owners of the original PK grill have had theirs for 40+ years and their grill is still going strong). The heat retention is outstanding and can be regulated by the air intake valves in the front (the two black handles on the front bottom of the oven- pictured). Better still are the results you get when barbecuing on this grill. Picture perfect steaks, hamburgers, chicken...you name it. It take all the work out of getting excellent results. Interested ? Every so often they go on sale. I got mine after Christmas in January ($100 off). It was money well spent !!

A little thin but other than that it appears to be a very nice bbq mat for the price. As others had noted doesn’t always lay flat right out of the box and or if you roll it up after using. After it’s back down again mine always straightens itself out fairly quickly. Plenty big enough for my XL pellet grill.

These are so easy to clean put it in place and protects the floor and is of good quality.

The GrillTex deck and patio Mat is exactly what I was looking for. After refinishing my wood deck, I wanted something that would save all my hard work from grease spatters and accumulation of ground in soot underneath my smoker/grill. I debated which size to purchase, but for the low cost, I just went bigger rather than 'just right' knowing I could always cut it down to size if needed. It unrolled and layed out nicely on the deck and I had the grill on top in a matter of minutes. I just checked the other day after grilling something fatty and noticed a couple of grease splatters on the mat, not the wood deck this time! Spot clean up was simple. I am very pleased with the purchase of the GrillTex Mat and highly recommend it for the quality, function, durability and price.

Nice looking mat that is functional to keep area under grill clean. Very durable and comfortable to stand on. Tapered edges so you don't trip. Color looks great. This is the perfect mat to store your grill on!

during the process of purchasing this item for the second time, I decided to write a review. Im highly impressed with the quality of this mat. I see where some people with composite decks had issues with discoloration and my heart goes out to you. I had this on my unstained, new deck for about 6 months and there was sun bleaching outside of the mat, but once stained, it all blended together. the mat and Blackstone were originally on the right side. It is a thick and heavy, rubber type material therefore does not curl up or flap in the wind. I can't speak to the heat resistance because I make it a habit to not dump hot charcoal on it but when I decide to clean it, it cleans easily. Im purchasing a second one for the BGE, and I recommend you consider this for protection of your surface.
