An absolute must-have for a beginner Dungeon Master
This set consists of the most important books for every Dungeon Master. Therefore it's an excellent investment for both newcomers and veterans of the game. Because the product comes in a hard slipcase, it serves perfectly as a gift. I'm certain that every D&D fan would be happy with receiving one. In this set you can find: 1) Player's Handbook: It's the guide for players that includes rules for character creation, spells, equipment, and basic mechanics of the game. 2) Monster Manual: Designated mainly for the Dungeon Master, contains a wide range of creatures that players may encounter. Each monster comes with statistics, abilities, lore, and illustrations. 3) Dungeon Master's Guide: Guide purely for the DMs, this book provides detailed instructions for creating and running campaigns. It includes rules on how to create worlds, dungeons, NPCs, and also provides a variety of magic items. 4) Dungeon Master's Screen: Made of sturdy cardboard, this screen serves to hide the DM's notes, maps, and dice rolls from players. It also has quick reference tables and rules printed on the DM's side. For me personally these books were the first D&D products I have ever gotten. After reading these I definitely felt ready to run my first campaign. As the starting point I recommend playing with Starter Set first, but a set of these three books is an excellent next step towards your adventure with D&D.

Nice box
I've been playing D&D now for around two years, starting with 5e and mostly using friends books alongside free printouts I've gotten online. Seeing as I'll be DMing myself in the near future, I finally decided to drop some cash on the core rulebooks and a DM screen since it seems more convenience to have all the 'necessary' information in front of me rather than loading up websites, printing off questionable sources of info and asking friends to pass their copy every 2 minutes. As somebody who owned none of the rulebooks or DM screen, this is a bargain compared to the cost of buying it all individually, plus it all comes in a nice looking display box. The price of the books does still make me shake my head a little, but the convenience of having them and presentation of them at least leaves them as a nice collection to my bookshelf that will actually be used fairly regularly. I would say that if you have none of the books and want to buy them, this is definitely the option for you since (as of writing this) it is, as I said, cheaper than buying it all individually. If you already own one or two items from this boxset, I would look at buying the remaining items individually since the box and foil covers really aren't worth doubling up on books you already have.

It's just soooooo good.
I've been I to D&D since I was introduced to 1st edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons by my uncle when I was about 10. My first purchase of D&D was a good few years later after running most systems available in the early 90's as I could get my hands on. Including the likes of but not limited to TMNT, Rifts, Call of Cthulhu, Stormbringer, Vampire and Werewolf. My D&D set was 2nd edition with 2.5 stuff added in as it came out. I was still running second edition during lockdown, then we got my friends wee girl the 5e intro set and I was gonna run it for her... I didn't like 3rd, 3.5 or 4th, I didn't have any inclination to when look at 5th until I started looking at that for her. Well, I've sold all my 2nd ed stuff (don't worry I got a good fair price) I bought this and I couldn't be happier its great. The art is awesome the text is clear and well laid out and most importantly the rules are clear and work well. All in all I'm over the moon!

Great set!
Really nice set and ideal for anyone looking to get started. When I got this it worked out as cheaper than getting all the books individually (I had one and to get the others individually cost the same as this set). And then you also get the DM screen and the nice holder. I have to say the books themselves are nicer than the standard books. They aren't the special edition foil ones as I think those have completely different covers. These are the same aetwork as normal but it's all got a metallic finish to it. My friends are a bit envious as they do look fancy. I had one of the books already and it was still worth it, it was easy enough for me to find a new home for the book I already had. They got a bargain price for the monster manual and I got a fancy matching set. So everyone won

Great quality set
I’ve never played D&D before but I was really interested so decided to get this set to have a good read through. Have to say, the quality of the item is much better than I expected. The books come in very sturdy case which has a really nice texture to it, with a beautiful gloss dragon print and some metallic accents in places. The quality continues with the books. All 3 are hardbacks and have foil graphics on them, they look brilliant when they catch a little light on them. I haven’t read all of the books fully yet but I did have a flick through and didn’t notice any printing issues, the artwork inside is awesome too. The same quality is present in the Dungeon Master screen again. It has a beautiful foil dragon print (similar to the style and texture of the books). Overall I’m extremely happy with the set and look forward to reading them all.

The perfect way to start your adventures
GREAT way to kill some hours, days, weeks and show off your creative flex. Since buying this, I have now created my own world full of mystery and names of things that are unpronounceable. It has been a fantastic way to dive into creative writing, bringing pals together (especially as lockdown eases) and showing off my creative flex from writing and roll playing all eccentric characters I have created in this world. This collection gives you everything you need to become a dungeon master and help understand the lore and rules of dungeons and dragons, all held together by a very fancy looking sturdy slip case. Easy purchase for sure if you're in to this game - the hours you spend in your own world by far outweighs the cost and the books feel and look fantastic. Even just the art is inspiring enough for you to get a creative spark to dive into a create something magnificent. But remember: "it's dangerous to go alone"

Beautiful books
This is the perfect starter kit for someone who wants to get into D&D. The books are all hard back with the foil-finish covers, and the artwork outside and in is amazing! The Monster Manual is instantly one of my favourite books on my shelf with all of the beautiful pictures and lore on its creatures! And the DM screen is packed with nifty notes that save you having to hunt back through the PHB or DMG for conditions, effects and more. For the quality of these books, the price is definitely justified. Ecstatic with my purchase!
