This Sweets Kendamas Radar Boost Kendama turned out to be a fantastic gift for my 13-year-old daughter. She had never even heard of kendama before, but once she tried it, she was hooked. I have been using this kendama for a while now and its amazing! The sticky paint makes catching the tama (the ball part) easy and perfect for beginners, but also experts. The classic sweets logo on the bottom of the perfectly balanced ken (the stick part) is an eye catcher for sure! I have been using this kendama every day for a few months now and the paint is still holding up great and it has lots of life left. I did replace the string, but that was fine because it came with an extra string and even a tool to help replace the string. Perfect as a gift or just for yourself as a first kendama, or to add to the collection.

Great kendama, was gifted my first kendama chick was a different and cheaper brand. I suggest this one since the ken and dama are both wood. Huge plus when looking for a kendama. First dama I got was different brand however my pit got the best of that dama. Little puppets got a hold of this one but was too strong for it to be broken. Great price great dama. Enjoy!

Got this for my husband (who’s Japanese and was feeling nostalgic for the game at one point). We both love playing this! Neither of us have really played this seriously, and this is a great choice for beginners and learning the “tricks of the trade”. It comes with a spare string (haven’t needed it yet) and the ball is coated with a slightly sticky paint, which does make it a bit easier to do the tricks. I wouldn’t recommend it for little kids since that ball on the long string can go flying and break something. But I would recommend it for anyone else wanting simplistic fun!!
