Didn’t work absolute waste of money, I think it actually attracted more cats as my garden borders turned into a litter tray

I am so pleased to have given these granules a try, as my vegetable patch was turned into my neighbourhood cat's toilet this time last year. I’m pretty sure that next door’s cat was selling tickets! The irony is that the active ingredient appears to be garlic. At the time, the veg patch had over 100 cloves of garlic happily growing following an autumn planting! In the three weeks since I spread the granules around, we’ve had a combination of some wet but mainly dry weather with a few light ground frosts. The granules have survived, and despite trying to only protect a small area, I’ve seen no sign of cat activity anywhere in the garden. The price is set fairly and offers good value, more so if it works. For the moment, four stars. This will be updated once we see what happens over the coming weeks.

We have a recurrent problem with next doors cats coming onto our garden to do their business and have tried everything with no success so this is the next attempt at trying to prevent them selecting our garden for their deposits. Initially the label was a bit scary with it's disposal instructions making it sound like a nuclear waste hazard, talking about only disposing contents or the bottle with a licensed hazardous waste disposal contractor and avoid polluting surface water or ditches, making it sound like something I didn't want anywhere near our pet dog. However the ingredients say its 0.5% garlic in an inert carrier, which doesn't sound that much of a toxic risk ( - even though garlic is poisonous is large quantities to dogs.) It seems to be a brand thats been around a while and is sold by large pet retailers though so we gave it a go. Ultimately it's now a waiting game to judge it's effectiveness. I will update the review if it fails or succeeds in time
