Great buy, and cheaper in the sack thank a 5 litre tub.
The wild birds live this food, and it works out alot cheaper buying it in a sack, I just transfer some of it to a 5 litre old bird seed tub I have. I've brought this a few times now, it never disappoints the wild wild birds.

Nice Niger seed
Niger seed is the best for attracting small birds. I, using it mied with cheaper general birdseed and lard, heating it all up and filling coconut shells. this will provide both the fat and the protein little birds need in the winter, it is the only thing that seems to attract the rarer small birds, as well as the more seen acrobatic blue tits.

Hmm..12.75kg is questionable..plse read..
Good value for money… more so because I actually transferred them into two supposedly 10kg buckets from another seller, and after filling the buckets to their full capacity, I had some of this packet still left… had also, already, filled eight feeders before trying to place the seed into buckets. So, figure what you can from this, cos somethings not adding up right, somewhere along the line! Birds love the seed tho. I have more than 50 visiting, daily..more when littlens are about. Pretty birds..

Goldfinch favourite
Much appreciated item on the bird feeder and I would have bought the same size again but the pricing is now really weird. 1kg £8.39 and 2kg over £29. Somebody has got something far wrong.

Good for Goldfinches
Goldfinches eat this seed. The other garden birds aren't interested. But we have a family of 6 or so finches so I keep this out for them. They don't eat a lot so it lasts ages

Goldfinches love them but problems with seeds sprouting in my lawn
I've been using these for a few months now and the goldfinches in my garden absolutely love them. We had no problems during the long dry summer but now discarded seeds are germinating in my lawn creating a thick carpet of seedlings. I did some research which suggested that niger seeds are heat treated before export to prevent this happening but this seems to only apply to the US not the UK. I have just phoned the company that imports this brand into the UK and they confirmed that these seeds are NOT heat-treated so I will now look for specific brands that are to prevent the problem of germination in my lawn.
