Super efficient and "cool" RV AC.
I replaced my 12 year old Dometic AC that came with my RV with this Chill Cube AC. I am super impressed, the amount of cooling and the current draw is like night and day. I have very rarely used the Dometic AC unit (maybe 3 - 4 times in total) as it had a huge inrush that would overpower my generator causing it to disconnect. It also did not cool very well. This new Furrion unit addresses both issues. The RV was at 72 degrees in a 95 degree full sun wheather, Dometic could never do, at the same time drawing half the energy at around 850W. I have a solar setup with 6 300AH batteries and around a 3kW BougeRV Yuma solar panels (that I also love), I can run my AC unit just on that. On cloudy days I can use my Honda EU2000i generator without any problems. I bought Breeze Max to control the unit over the internet / remotely and another thermostat, cheap Emerson battery operated, relay for heat only thermostat for my propane heater as the Furrion unit does not have ability to control the heater. The installation went smoothly and the unit works super well. Did I mention it's super quiet in the ducted mode? It's footprint (on the roof) is also much smaller than the Dometic. I am super happy with this AC, I will definitely use it a lot more than my previous Dometic unit as now I can, no more putting up with a 90 degree RV. Highly recommend this game changing product, if you are a boondocker, you need this!

Very efficient, quiet and reasonably priced.
Very efficient and quiet. I had a perfectly functional Dometic 13,500 BTU unit with soft start. It was extremely loud and used over 1700 watts of power. I have lithium batteries and solar and it wasn’t enough to run the Dometic. I’d get alarms from the inverter due to the voltage drop. It was also really loud, you can’t hear the TV when the fan was on. So I upgraded to this Chill Cube. Know that you’re going to need to buy the correct adaptor for ducted or non. Installation was super easy, half hour maybe for the non ducted unit with adapter since everything was already in place for the Dometic AC. The unit is very quiet. The best part is how efficient it is. It starts at a much lower wattage compared to the Dometic, I think the maximum power draw I’ve seen is 1,100 watts, and it usually ramps down pretty quickly to 800 watts, then 500, 300 and so on. I have 1000 amp hours of lifepo batteries and I think I can run for up to ten hours now on batteries alone without needing to turn on a generator. Where as before due to current draw and voltage drop etc I could maybe run for an hour on batteries alone. It’s also a lot quieter, the fan ramps up and slows down with demand. This is a game changer for me and will allow me to boondock with confidence. I take my dogs camping and this is peace of mind that if I lose power the batteries will keep the AC running for hours. I can also camp for several days only running the generator for an hour or two a day to recharge the batteries enough to use the AC. It’s nice to be able to camp and have AC without the generator running constantly. So far so good. Highly recommended. The price is very reasonable as well. It’s a no brainer compared to the old style systems especially when you add the cost of an optional soft start. The Chill Cube inverter always starts super soft and it’s easy on batteries and inverters. Update, I just camped for a couple days and did not have to use the generator. I only ran the AC for several hours but it hardly depleted the charge. It's so nice to have peace and quiet.

I love variable speed compressor ACs
Performs much better than my previous unit in my 38' RV. It is super quiet and efficient. The advantage of variable speed compressors is they can control humidity much better. 78 degrees on my old unit was unbearable where on this unit it feels cool...75 is chilly. Since the unit runs constantly (at low power) the temp is more consistent/stable, no temp swings like the older units. Silence and cool/dry air at night is so much nicer! I think I'm saving a bit more than 50% which matters to me since I am fully solar. You should know before buying: I bought the ducted unit and it was not so easy to adapt as the ceiling display/vent board (ADB) had a light and vent in the way. My old unit did not have a ceiling module. You should ensure you have the unobstructed space to mount the ADB or plan around it. Also, my AC and return ducts are side-by-side and not as it expects in the installation manual. Rebuilding duct forms with foam and silver tape is really not a big deal though. Some manuals may suggest the ADB comes with this unit..it does not. There is a seperate SKU for the ADB and it is required since it has the thermostat control and display module. I noticed after installation that a lot of water collects below the condenser coil. The bottom of the unit is molded plastic and it has a sort of built-in pan. Condensate will eventually overflow this shallow pan and exit through a hole (good) but I've seen the condenser sitting in a full pan of water and the fan splashing the water everywhere and that seems bad. There are many egress holes in the bottom so I don't get why not one in the pan. I am considering drilling a small hole to allow it to drain like a normal home AC drain pan because this just seems so obvious but it's not in the manual. Possibly this was causing the other user's freezing issue but I haven't encountered this in Florida.

Don’t Buy from ”Autoplicity”
The Furrion Chill Cube is a Great A/C unit but I made the mistake of buying it from Autoplicity. The unit didnt work upon arrival and by the time I had gone through all of the troubleshooting with Furrion and found the problem it was passed the return window. Furrion said they couldn’t fix it because Autoplicity wasn’t an authorized seller. When I talked with Autoplicity they refused to do anything and kept insisting I could get it fixed under warranty even after I told them Furrion would not warranty the unit. In the end I had to buy the part myself which made an already expensive a/c replacement even more expensive. The unit works great but be sure to buy from an authorized seller. I would recommend not buying anything from Autoplicity even if they were an authorized seller.

Nice and cool. Runs in low or medium fan speed off my Champion 2000 watt propane inverter. The remote is a nice feature of the matching indoor kit I purchased. Used a bunch over the summer and fall with no issues. Make sure you get the correct ducted or non-ducted model and the correct interior kit.

Item is useless if you do not have the air distribution box remote controller. In the package you will find an ADB included and (required) but not provided. Vendor doesn't mention this and you might get stuck with a very nice unit which is useless.

The Furrion Chill Cube arrived completely dead — zero power, no lights, no fan, nothing. Literally DOA. When we contacted the seller for troubleshooting or warranty help, we were told (verbatim): “We cannot assist you unless you have the original packaging.” That requirement was NEVER mentioned in the product listing, the order confirmation, the user manual, or anywhere else. They simply made it up to avoid dealing with a clearly defective $1,400+ unit. After we pointed out that we no longer had the box (because we installed a rooftop air conditioner like any normal person would), they then fell back on their standard policy: • Customer pays return shipping on a 90+ lb unit (hundreds of dollars) • 20% restocking fee on a product that never worked for even one second So now we’re out well over $500 just to return something that was broken straight from the factory, because the seller hid an undisclosed “original box required” rule and Furrion refuses to stand behind their product. This is predatory. Hundreds of recent reviews say the exact same things: DOA units, loud compressor cycling, error codes, leaking, and zero meaningful support from Furrion or most sellers. Avoid the Furrion Chill Cube and avoid sellers who pull stunts like this. Buy Dometic, Coleman-Mach, or RecPro instead — anything but this.

Once you get all the parts it works great but it won't work until you get the inside which is your control if Amazon doesn't have the control for a docked system you should tell the buyer it took my almost two weeks to find one not very happy having to wait that long to get ac in my trailer worki g in the heat this unit should be sold with both parts and not separate
