These are the most comfortable braces I’ve ever had compared with many I tried. I’ve had a pair over ten years that helped me with my arthritic thumb and painful wrist. Couldn’t say enough about their quality and durability. Recently, I bought one for my right hand and so far it does what it is supposed to do. However, the one for my left hand that I received on July 31st, the stitches on the straps coming out with only few times use! It may be defective, but I am still disappointed! Honestly, I expected more from this brand. I gave it a 4 because of that otherwise I would have given it a 5!

I have arthritis and Raynaud’s in both hands. A flair up started as pain and weakness in both thumbs and wrist joints but while the left remained a little sore, the right progressively got worse and eventually the thumb triggered before that joint froze. My chiropractor was able to give me some relief but recommended I see a hand therapist to regain movement. My “bad hand” is improving considerably, but when I told my hand therapist my “good hand” was getting sore from over use, she had me try on one of these braces for size. She recommended I get this specific brace in the correct size to use on the overworked hand to give it support. She said the material will be warming on those joints, and the tightness can be adjusted so it wouldn’t make circulation worse with my Raynaud’s. She was so right It is the most comfortable brace I have ever had on. The material warms my wrist and thumb, gives it strength that I had lost, and adjust to fit all around, so on days my joints are swollen it is never too tight. I am going to buy one for my “bad hand”. Other braces I have tried (several) have been too tight or restricted all movement. With arthritis and Raynaud’s if my joints stay still it is much more difficult and painful to try and move them. I am purchasing one for my other hand.

The brace seems well made and is similar to the brace I purchased from my hand doctor’s office. It has the same name and description, but it is bulkier. Perhaps the company changed the style? I purchased a “medium plus” based on the directions for measurements given by the seller. (Although based on those instructions, I should have ordered a large. The size from the doctor has always been a medium, but I thought the company might have changed their sizing.) I still thought a large would be too big, so I went down a size to medium plus. The medium plus is still too large. Unfortunately, I missed the cut off date for return, or I would have tried exchanging for a medium to see if that would work. I would recommend ordering a size smaller than what your measurements would indicate. I would also be aware that the product might not be the same as what is sold to medical providers. (The sort of difference like buying a national brand from a big box store…looks the same but not made the same!) Not sure what I will do with the brace, but that is my fault for not returning in time!
