I like these mainly for car-camping. I tend to bring a lot of gear because I want to be comfortable for a week-long trip, and things that fold or collapse are very helpful. These are pricey but probably the best quality, should last a long time but they aren't cast iron. Heat retention is better than anything made of metal, except for something like a Hydroflask bowl - yes, that's a thing, and plates too.

I discovered Sea to Summit camping gear a couple of years ago and have replaced all my camping/backpacking kitchenware with S&S items. These bowls are great, fold flat and clean up easy. Deep enough for breakfast cereal or chili at lunch.
