I received my order fairly quickly and in great condition. I left for an extended vacation before I had time to install the opener so that is the reason for the delayed review. I installed the opener using the hardware that came with the opener. All heavy duty and lots of varying ways to install according to my particular requirements. The only hard part was the programming. The opener comes with several ways to program for push to open or pull to open. Also in case you have a model using 2 openers. The installation manual was somewhat difficult to understand as the symbols in the manual doesn’t always match the digital readout. ( this was indicated in other customer reviews) I contacted customer support y e mail as that is the only to talk with them, I was pleasantly surprised that they got back with me the next day. I explained where I was and what I needed. They e mailed back to me with a precise set of clear instructions. Once I followed up the programming, my gate worked perfectly. My gate has been performing well over a month now and I am very pleased with the purchase. The reason I gave it a high score even though I think the instruction manual needs to be rewritten more clearly is due to the fact they followed up so quickly and made sure that everything worked to my satisfaction.

I had bought this to save a hundred bucks off my standard units, who shall remain nameless but their initials start with MM. As a result, I was just trying to "retrofit" the gate to install this unit, which ultimately took me a while having short afternoons this time of year.. My issues: 1. I didn't happen to catch, if it was ever mentioned, that these are only 120v, with a possibility of 24v... That's problematic out in the pasture. I usually use a 12v automotive battery, I just had to buy two big deer-feeder batteries to run it, and an extra solar panel to couple to provide 24v recharging.. Add $70 to my net expense for the change. 2. stroke length is quite short by comparison: that likely won't be an issue on the standard pull-to-open, but on my current application I can't have the opener inside the fence where the cows will chew on it, so I opted for the "push to open": once you put the "standoff" mount to allow the opener to clear the gate on that type of installation, it really needs some more stroke to it: it's only opening the gate about 3/5 of what would be optimal, and I don't really know of any way to fix it right now; the geometry just isn't working.. 3. Yes, it's slow. My wife always complains about how slow the other units I'm running are, fortunately she doesn't often go through this gate or I'd never hear the end of it.. 4. programming: fairly simple, just somewhat confusing at times in the manual. Standard chinese to english problems there, it seems. 5. I do like the keyed "disconnect" so you can open the gate when it's not working... That will be handy, I'm sure. Right now, it seems to be working, but in hindsight I honestly wish I had gone ahead and sprung for the extra money and go back with plan A: I am running several units, and replace maybe one every year or two, I won't be getting another of these in all likelihood, mainly as a result of #1 and #2 above.. we'll see how it holds up, so far so good.

Had someone install, Seemed to be easy for him to install and adjust, had to buy a few extra parts- still need to be adjusted for remote access - I hope it lasts a long time with us having so many windy and high wind days and nights; sometimes heavy snow days.

Haven't installed it yet but it looks great well built.
