Top quality paste, it’s quite thick, but I suppose it has to be.

AMeCh make some big claims for this SGT-4 thermal paste and make thinly veiled comparisons with some of the most highly regarded and expensive pastes, like Thermal Grizzly, so it's got a lot to live up to. I can't say I've put to the test in controlled circumstances to check this out but it does seem to be in the same performance league as the better pastes out there. It's quite a dry paste and takes some effort to spread, also like Kryonaut Extreme, and you get a stiff little spatula in the pack to make it easier, though it still isn't that easy. The reward is you get a CPU that's running about as cool as it can without spending anywhere near as much as you would on the better known brand-names. If you need the very best performance it's a gamble but at least it's an affordable one. Nice to see this 20g tube on sale for just a couple of quid more than their 6g one too - I hope you found this one first!

Saw a youtuber review this and test compared to favourites like arctic MX4, it's performed just as good and cheaper. I've been using this in my builds for while more than happy with it.

I believe this thermal paste is good for value based on the generous amount that is given. İt comes with a spatula for application which makes it quite easy to spread. My video doesn't quite prove this because it was hard to hold the camera at the same time. You need to be patient and make sure there is an even spread over the CPU. My video does show exactly how much thermal paste should be applied. İt needs to be about a pea sized amount. Also, you should use a special thinner such as TIM clean to remove remnants of the previous thermal paste. I will soon be applying this to my son's PC too which is overheating and will update the results afterwards.

AMeCh SGT-4 Thermal Paste This is a big pack of thermal paste, the pack size is 20 grams which is enough for many applications as only a small amount is used each time. The thermal paste is supplied in a plastic applicator, the applicator has a thin tube so just a small amount can be applied as required. Also in the pack is a plastic applicator which allows you to spread a very thin film of paste over the contact surface. This thermal paste is used to create a thermal barrier between a CPU (or similar) and the surface it mounts to. Due to microscopic irregularities between the 2 surfaces, overheating will occur, this paste smooths out those irregularities, serving to create a perfect seal and keep temperatures to a minimum. Overall this is easy to apply and should create a perfect seal. The thermal paste should not harden over time as some earlier products had a tendency to do. The paste will remain soft and pliable for it's working life. I find it advisable to replace the thermal paste when a computer becomes a few years old, this should hopefully help prolong a computers working life. I've used this to replace the paste on a second-hand HP pre-built i7-10700 system I bought recently, so the original paste would have been roughly 4 years old. I applied it using the cross method. It was smooth and easy to apply from the tube without using the provided spatula. I've found that there was an immediate reduction of the idle temps by a good few degrees. Whether the results I've obtained with this product were better or worse than I would have achieved with other pastes is something I don't know, but I'd say this is definitely a high quality product and is very good value for money. It's a nice big tube so I doubt I'll need to buy any for quite a while but when I run out I will most likely buy this one again.

It's been a while since I had to apply thermal paste to a CPU, but this stuff seems much more goopy and stringy than what I've used before. Whether that's good or bad, or even a true memory, I don't know, but it does make it challenging to apply dexterously. They've kindly included a spatula to spread it, which I found very helpful during my first round. Unfortunately, I ended up having to seat the heatsink again, which included re-applying, and this time I did not use the spatula. Please be extremely careful if applying it freehand, as this stuff goes a long way, is thicker than you think AND takes ages to spread out, so looks can be deceiving unless you check it again shortly after applying. (More than I expected started to accumulate around the edge of the heatsink, which I scraped away with a razor and hopefully that's all good now.) My CPU is running at 29c right now which is great — much better than my previous paste/setup! But, at the same time, my new chassis has 5 fans versus my previous 3... Either way, I'm very happy. So far. Also very happy the tube has a cap, because there's an absurd amount of paste in the tube.

Purchased this on Salem Techsperts' recommendation, claiming it was the best on the market. Hadn't used anything other than Arctic Silver, Noctua NT-H1 and Arctic MX-6 in literally decades and was skeptical that this brand I'd never heard of could be that great in comparison, but I was in need of new paste and figured why not give it a shot? Turns out he was right—this stuff is great! The improvement was marginal, but none-the-less it compared very favorably for the price. Keep in mind, this is a 20g tube, so you're getting quite a bit more product than usual (see picture, lip balm shown for scale). So, if you don't need the extra thermal paste, it might be worth opting for a smaller tube from one of the other major brands.
