Insanely good headphone!
Ok, what is happening? I just compared these headphones to a $3000 headphones from a VERY respected brand and while they were not sounding EXACTLY the same, they were so scary close it made me question reality. With the comparison or not, I already could tell these are wonderful. First, SOUND QUALITY The sound staging is amazing. Super wide, open, broad, music is truly free when delivered through these headphones into your ears. Just wonderful instrument separation and spacious arrangement of everything that plays in a song. ALl of that is supported by a strong, beautifully natural sounding bass. It kicks hard but it doesn't overwhelm anything else. Just perfect. Then come the mids. Every vocal, every instrument that is lacking so much in other brands I clearly present here. Just wow. Yet, the overall sound profile is never dull. Even in demanding compositions, everything sound so dynamic and perfectly-arranged. Again, just wow. But then come the highs - totally living in their own space. This headphone is almost deceptive, making you think in the beginning it's going to be warm but then someone hits a cymbal and you can hear it so clearly and well-delivered. It's just mind-boggling how detailed these are. Also, the highs never get to that unpleasant harsh place. They are all there and yet - they are very well-controlled. ERGONOMICS: Very good. Not as amazing as the $3000 headphone I referenced above but - really - nothing to complain about. The earcups are perfectly soft. The clamping force is just right. The extension arms are long enough to accommodate my oversized head and there is room left (which is important BECAUSE: it lets you overextend a little if the headband ever becomes uncomfortable and starts bothering you). In other words: you can wear these all day and not feel any fatigue. AESTHETICS: A blend of traditional sound excellence from a higher shelf and modern, sleek, techy appearance. They maintain the understated elegance but also do communicate right away: this is not your cheap BestBuy headphone! You're in for something special here! CABLES: Fantastic! Both high-quality! There is no need to upgrade. You get TWO separate cables, a 3.5mm and a 4.4mm. An adapter to go 6.35mm is also included so basically you can run these via a very wide range of devices. Awesome! CONCLUSION: This is a SHOCKINGLY great purchase at the current price! HIGHLY recommended for all enthusiasts, audiophiles, advanced music lovers - this will be your best spend $200+ audio money in 2025 and probably for a solid few years beyond!

These Headphones Are Worth Every Penny!
I really did not expect to like these headphones at all. In fact I have been a Sennheiser "purist" for years. The initial impression putting these on my head, even before putting anything through them, was "amazed" - light weight & airy open unlike any other open-back I have ever put on my head. Then I got to do a side-by-side comparison of these phones & the Hifiman Sundara phones which it seems everyone says are better. At the end of my comparison I can honestly say that they are not. These FiiOs are lighter & more comfortable, more wide open, are more efficient by far, & have a much broader & more open sound stage. The bass on these phones is not pushed, it is smooth & strong without being overpowering. The highs are nothing short of incredible - "crystalline" was the word that first came to my mind. Vocals are nicely present & very well defined & placed. You really notice the difference between bad & well-engineered recordings. Compared to the Sundaras these are very efficient - between the two I had to add much more volume when plugging in the Sundaras. The Sundaras were also darker & more muffled by comparison. The bottom line is I just did not like them & returned them. The FT-1 Pros are now my listening headphones & I never in a million years thought I would like something more than my Sennheiser HD650's, but honestly there's no real comparison, & they only get better the more I listen to them. Right now I consider them the best bargain available in the world of open-backed planar magnetic headphones bar none. Be prepared to spend some time breaking them in & plan on ordering a new cable - I'm not sure why headphone manufacturers think you will be sitting on top of your amplifier to listen & send them out with 4' cables, but it seems they all do that these days.

Excellent headphone that represents a new benchmark (but beware of QC)
This headphone has the potential to be the de-facto headphone recommendation at the price point, combining great tuning and technical performance. As with most planar driver headphones, you get a very clean and detailed sound signature but arguably, this headphone is the best tuned of any planar headphone available below $1000. Bass extends deep and while it is not the most impactful (without EQ), it is fast and very clean with good definition. Mids are very neutral (which in audio terms is a good thing). Voices and instruments present in a very life-like manner with good separation. Treble, for a planar magnetic headphone, is relaxed but well extended (which is a breath of fresh air, considering most of the planar competition can sometimes be overly bright). This headphone competes very nicely with the mainstays at this price point and takes aim at the Sennheiser 6X0 series, as well as the Hifiman Sundara and XS and while it does not supplant them, it serves as a good alternative to consider for anyone who found the Sennheisers to not have enough extension in the bass and find the Hifiman duo to be too bright. Build quality on these is fairly decent and the headphones aren't overly heavy so most people shouldn't have problems wearing these for a long time. The headband, perhaps, could be improved - there is a slight hot spot at the top of the headband that may potentially cause discomfort during hours long listening sessions but a Capra strap would fix this completely. One con on these headphones: there is a bit of QC roulette - some units may have clipping in the bass at higher SPL. If you EQ in bass, or listen to bassy music at high volumes, the bass may distort and clip. Unfortunately, the unit I received is affected by this issue.

The best open Back Headphones for the price.
I personally love these headphones. They are very comfortable and fit well. The sound is awsum. They are not fatigine to listen to. Bass is good, (Not Overpwering), Mid Range is good, Treeble is good. They are ver comfortable for long periods of listing to. You won't get a better price on open back.

Poor quality and terrible rattle
Greatly disappointed with these headphones. I am a long time FiiO customer. I have the FT5 headphones, FT3 headphones, the JT1 headphones and the K7 amplifier. I've noticed not only had build quality gone down, but so has the sound. I was hopeful these headphones would be just as good as all my other FiiO headphones, but I was disappointed. The quality is no where near as good as the FT5 or FT3. The sound was great except the constant buzzing and rattling coming from the left speaker. It was very off putting and disappointing. I am returning these headphones obviously and I don't foresee me buying another FiiO product. Sorry FiiO, you dropped the ball on these headphones.

Very impressive for the price
I've been using these for a few days and I'm extremely impressed with the sound they put out. The ones I received have the fixed low-end rumble and the newer mounting mechanism., so hats off to FIIO for making those adjustments so quickly. I'm using the 4.4mm balanced output on an HIDIZS DH80S DAC/AMP, and the FT1 Pro already includes the cable to do that. Testing them side by side with the Hifiman Ananda Nano (using the same FIIO cable), I honestly can't hear a difference between them after hours of testing. They are both fairly equal on weight and comfort, detail and soundstage, and they both have that powerful planar impact like my beloved Letshuoer S12 IEMs. My Sennheiser HD 598 Cs headphones sound terrible in comparison to those three. Don't buy into the BS from these YouTubers pushing high-end headphones, I've tried everything up to the $8k Hifiman Susvara Unveiled on a $15k amp, and you have to have dog-like hearing to tell the difference. $350 buys you the FIIO FT1 Pro AND a FIIO K11 R2R DAC/AMP, and for 95% of people this will sound just as good as that Susvara setup i mentioned.

Comfortable fit, good sound, flawed drivers & build
I really wanted to love these. I have the FT1 (closed, dynamic driver) and love it - I can't speak it's praises high enough for how good that headphone is for the price (this was post headband issues). The FT1 Pro are light weight and comfortable, and they sound amazing for the price... If you can get one that doesn't have driver issues. My first pair out of the box had the left driver making a sort of buzz/plasticy sound whenever bass would hit. Very distracting. Many people have said they heard a rattle coming from the bass port on the top of the cup, but neither of mine were loose. I read other reviews stating that they had similar issues in one or both cups, and others that said they didn't have the issue at all. They also had a stiff/squeaking yoke adjustment where you can rotate the cups on the right side. I took a chance and lost. I setup a return and got a replacement pair a few days later. Unfortunately, that one had the same issue but in the RIGHT cup this time (at least the yokes/cups didn't squeak, but the left side was a bit more free moving than the right). As it stands, I wouldn't recommend this headphone at the moment. Fiio genuinely suprised and wow'd me w/ the FT1, and the FT1 Pro could be legendary at this price point for the sound it does deliver when the drivers work as they should, but they have some kinks to work out with QC and overall build quality. I ultimately returned my second pair and won't be trying a third.

Good but may not be for everyone.
Neutral-warm tuning, can be boring. Timbre seem off, incomplete. Clean deep bass. Grainy midrange. No sparkle in the highs. Closed-in headstage, minimal depth. Lightweight and comfortable. Very low-Z so it needs a good amp that can push current. No quality issues with my copy. I used this headphone through a variety of amps. It really liked amps that can push a lot of current into low-Z loads. It paired well with the Schiit Vali 3 (5670 GE Tube) for a more neutral signature. The Nitsch Piety was a good pairing as well but for different reasons - the Piety is very smooth and adds a little bit of flavor. Powered by a Schiit Asgard 2 it sounded overly veiled and dull, not enough power. But no matter what amp it was powered by, the strange timbre and grainy midrange were always present, which was ultimately the reason I didn't like these.
