It arrived without any sharp edges or factory flaws. It has a very simple UI low, medium, high and turbo. When you turn the flashlight back on it will start with high. What impressed me the most was the zoom. When you zoom it out for a long clean and strong beam, it remains a circle and not a square like you usually get with the cheap lights. However when you zoom back to a flood light, it will pop open the silicone cover on the charging port. It builds up pressure for some reason. It has an 18650 battery but it's longer than normal 18650 batteries and won't fit in my liitokala 600 charger. It has a built in charger but I prefer to charge my batteries outside of the flashlight so I can assess the health of the battery. I can highly recommend this flashlight, especially if you want a flood and search light in one flashlight.

These are awesome. I like simplicity. I didn’t want a flashlight with a million different settings. This one is simple. It has high, medium, and low brightness. When you first turn it on you will click the button once for high, twice for medium, and 3 times for low. After a few seconds on the desired brightness setting, a click of the button will turn the flashlight off, and not move onto the next setting. Which is a feature I really like. So when you’re turning it off you don’t have to click through several more settings. Super well made, very quality feel. And it is SUPER bright. You can adjust the beam by twisting the end of the light. It keeps a round shape even when focused to the narrowest it will go and doesn’t blur or create shapes or shadows like some lights will. The only complaint I have about this flashlight is that when left on high for a few minutes the end of the flashlight near the lens gets actually very hot. Idk if it would be enough to burn you but enough to scare you as it did me the first time I used it.

This is a very nice light for the price. The zoom feature isn't quite one-handed as stated, and I found it best to use one hand to hold the light and the second to zoom in and our. I imagine it would work more easily for those with large hands. I would like the light a little better if the switch in brightness was a little easier to use. Once you turn on the light, you only have a few seconds to push the switch lightly to change the brightness. If you don't change the brightness right after you turn on the light, you have to turn it off and then on again in order to select brightness. The setting doesn't remain, so each time you use the light, you need to adjust the setting if the initial brightness isn't what you want. Other than that, the light has a decent heft for its size and throws a lot of light.

I have quite the flashlight collection and this is clearly the best for the money. Nice zoom feature with powerful long distance beam. I have spent over $100 on other flashlights and again, this is the best for the money. Battery life seems decent and the durability is good.

First, the good stuff. The Klarus EP 12 flashlight is only about 6" long, from end to lens, and is impressive in its solid build, relatively light weight, and overall light output. Its entire body, except for the lens, is metal, and can easily take some hard knocks though you wouldn't want to mar its beautiful exterior. The flashlight throws out an amazing amount of light, no matter the intensity - low, medium, or high - for its small size. The light intensity is controlled by the power switch while the beam spread is controlled by twisting the lens head to the focus you want. These multi-adjustable features help you meet your needs. If taking a walk at night, use the low, wide focus mode. If searching for something in the underbrush, use the high, narrow focus. Note that the higher the intensity, the shorter the battery life. That is to be expected, and not a flaw. Just plan accordingly. Note that the lens end does get warm, regardless of light intensity. Warn children and use protection if handling that end of the flashlight after prolonged use. The SOS feature - the flashlight spells "SOS" in Morse code - is a pleasant surprise and handy for backpacking and camping trips. This, combined with the intensity of the light, is a very nice safety feature. The flashlight comes with a sturdy lanyard which is long enough to loop and tighten around your wrist or hang from a backpack with a carabiner. Either way, because the body of the flashlight is a solid aluminum build, you won't have to worry about knocking it against rocks and trees. Now, the things that made me shake my head because they are silly but significant and could've easily been corrected before shipping. The negative end of the battery is covered with a plastic disc that has to be removed for it to work. The flashlight comes charged, but because that disc prevents a complete circuit, it appears to be defective but isn't. This could've easily been fixed with a bold note in the product manual, a sticker on the body or back-end of the flashlight, advising the consumer to remove it. Instead, it's a small footnote on the Amazon product page where most people are likely to miss it and return a perfectly functional product because of a small marketing oversight. The product manual could use some improvement. The flashlight comes with a rubber O ring and, for the life of me, I couldn't tell you where it goes. It seems like it should be intuitive, but it isn't. It's an oversight like the disc that covers the battery, and could be easily corrected with a statement in the product manual. Overall, this flashlight is amazing. Truly. I have been a little obsessed with flashlights that are functional, durable, and lightweight. And this one meets all three criteria. It is readily giftable. Get it for the woman in your life who has to walk at night for any reason. She'll thank you for it. I am going to keep mine in my car where it's handy in case of emergencies. I love this flashlight and readily recommend it to others.

best performance for the price

i think this is a quality product with many premium features, the lumens is acceptable for night walking, but its not Extreme Lumens ! nor is it Turbo Mode.. ! but you might satisfied with the lumens. it has a zoom lens feature is one of the main reasons why i bought this one, not too many flashlights have that anymore. everything works on this product that was advertised, it feels like a premium product, i know they have far more expensive flashlights too, i'm sure they are great, but i have to work with this budget, and this model is fine, it does the job. so 4 stars. ?

Ich bin mit der KLARUS EP12 sehr zufrieden. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig und robust, genau richtig für Outdoor-Einsätze. Die Lichtleistung ist beeindruckend – extrem hell, mit guter Reichweite, und dabei trotzdem sauber fokussiert. Perfekt für Spaziergänge mit dem Hund, Camping oder als Notfalllampe. Besonders praktisch finde ich den integrierten Akku mit USB-C-Ladefunktion. Kein extra Ladegerät nötig, einfach unterwegs aufladen. Llevaba tiempo pensando en una linterna usb led hasta que he adquirido está Klarus de 2.000 lumen, es la primera que tengo de este tipo, así que mi opinión es la de un principiante, que en general me parece una pasada lo potenteque es, con la ventaja de no tener que comprar pilas. Entrando al funcionamiento esta linterna dispone de 3 intensidades diferentes y una función SOS, sobre la cual he leído en alguna reseña que no funciona, pero funciona perfectamente. Lleva incluida una batería de 4000 mAh que me parece suficiente, lo que junto al tamaño del reflector determinan justificadamente su tamaño, que siendo grandecita cabe bien en un bolsillo. En mi caso la llevo siempre cuando paseo al perro de noche o cuando tengo que salir fuera de la casa del pueblo. No es una linterna convencional, más bien tirando a profesional, la primera vez que la enciendes te das cuenta. El cuerpo es metálico, lo qué da mucha robustez, catalogada como ipx6 segun el vendedor, aguanta agua y otras condiciones duras, si bien esto no lo he probado aun. Se puede variar el foco girando la corona, más o menos concentrado, a más concentración mayor distancia alcanza. Se puede usar para cualquier actividad, para lo último que he usado la linterna ha sido para poner unos estores, aunque con todas las luces de la habitación no veía bien para hacer los agujeros y poner tornillos en el techo, la coloqué enfocando hacia arriba y perfecto para hacer el trabajo, inundado de luz. Cosas en contra, el calentamiento de la linterna, aunque no veo mucho problema. Según las especificaciones del vendedor se puede girar con una mano para variar el foco, pero está demasiado fuerte, si bien tampoco lo veo importante. Sobre la duración de la carga, unas 5 horas, algo lenta, pero con esa batería tal grande, milagros pocos. En conclusión, me parece una estupenda opción, las habrá más buenas, no sé si a este precio, pero la recomiendo totalmente y le pongo las 5 estrellas.

J’utilise la lampe Klarus EP12 depuis quelque temps et j’en suis très satisfait. La qualité de fabrication est excellente : la lampe est solide, compacte et tient bien en main. On sent immédiatement que c’est un produit robuste et fiable. La puissance d’éclairage est impressionnante, largement suffisante pour une utilisation en extérieur comme en intérieur. Les différents modes d’éclairage sont pratiques et faciles à utiliser, ce qui permet d’adapter la luminosité selon les besoins. L’autonomie est très correcte pour une lampe de cette taille, et la recharge est simple. Elle est également légère et facile à transporter, ce qui la rend idéale pour le quotidien, le bricolage, les sorties nocturnes ou les situations de dépannage. En résumé, la Klarus EP12 est une lampe performante, bien conçue et fiable. Très bon rapport qualité/prix, je recommande sans hésitation.

Received the flashlight quickly and it doesn't work unless connected with the USB c cable. Turns out There was a bit of paper on the battery that needs to be removed before first use.
