Bought this primarily to hold my garden clippers and cell phone - not sure what the other 2 pockets are for. Possibly a 500 ml water bottle, but I’ve tried and it won’t fit with my cell and clippers already in the belt. I am 5’4” and find that the length is too long which makes it a bit uncomfortable to wear and snags on things when moving and bending. Probably just right for someone taller. Also the hard plastic insert in the clipper pocket is only stitched to the material on one side making it difficult to insert the clippers easily. The insert collapses together, so I have to take off my gloves, look inside the pocket and open up the sleeve every time I want to stow the clippers to make sure it doesn’t go into the pocket outside of the insert. The insert needs to be be stitched to both sides of the pocket. Rugged construction, the belt portion and fastening clasp are great, but the major design flaws make it just a so, so product for me.

I'm an arborist and I have worn my older version of this belt nearly every day, all day for the last several years. To be fair, I don't think the original was ever intended for professional use so some of the things I don't like about the new one are probably irrelevant to the average backyard gardener.#1, the belt is wider and thus less comfortable for all day use#2 the body material/fabric is not as thick as the original#3 the plastic sharp tool keeper is not as thick as the original#4 the whole thing is larger than the original I'll probably buy more than one because it's unlikely the new version will last as long as the original. (Unless the company has a secret stash of the olds ones that they would sell to me :) The new version gets 3 stars because it still has the same number of pockets and they're in the same locations. And because I can still fit in everything I need.Thanks Napa Valley Gardener for not completely discontinuing this indispensable tool belt!!

I almost returned this pouch. I had bought it specifically to be able to carry my cellphone along with my shears. The tool pouch is made of good materials, but is poorly designed.The cellphone pouch makes a cellphone vulnerable to damage if you insert pruning shears in the pocket behind it. Further, I found it nearly impossible to get shears into the protective, plastic lined pocket once the belt was on me. Also, the plastic liner will allow shears be inserted between the plastic liner and the pockets other material, defeating the purpose of liner.I decided to clip another cellphone protective case to the pouch making it somewhat usable.
