Hennessy Hammock - Deep Jungle Series - Premium Double Bottom Hammock for the Buggiest Jungles on the Planet

Been using this one for a wile now and it took me 2-3 nights to get it setup in a way that was right for me(my first hammock).Last time I used it in Sweden and it was about 0°c at night and I slept for 12h.

The chord on this hammock isn't like my old one, much thinner. I researched it, and found out it has a tensile strength of 1600lbs. Crazy, it's only as thick as the inside of your pen.

The good is it is comfortable to sleep in and very easy to store in your gear. I use it hiking and kayaking. It fits nicely in the very back of my kayak by the rudder where nothing else fits. I am very claustrophobic and was afraid I couldn't handle this but I have done fine. The scary bad is on two occasions I have attached to seemingly solid trees and had one fall during the night. Both missed me and didn't even damage the tent. They say they set up quickly but I have never been very good at it. I used their lashing technique to attach rappel rings to their tent ropes. I bought looped hammock straps and use carabiners to connect the rings to the straps. This has decreased setup time a lot. The floor does get cold at night. I bought a Crazy Creek Power Lounger for a camp chair. At night I open it up and slide it between the double flooring for insulation. That has resolved the cold problem even camping at over 10,000 feet in Utah in late October. I like to watch whales in Johnstone Strait, Canada. We set up camp on the beach. My friends tent nearly went under water at high tide. No problem for a hammock. I was rewarded the next morning awaking to a pod of Orcas swimming yards away while I watched them from my comfy, warm sleeping bag.

This Hammock exceeds expectations... This is my first hammock. I bought this hammock for a thru hike of the AT for when I retire later this year. It s a bit heavier than a tent, but I feel like having a luxurious place to shelter at night and sleep well is worth the extra weight.This hammock sets up easily, and in three or four minutes max. I also bought Snake Skins and the Hennessy Radient Heat pad and the Hammock keeps me warm in 30 degree weather with a 50 degree bag.The double layers sandwich the radiant heat pad and keep it clipped into the right spot so it doesn't shift while I sleep.The sleeping position is asymmetrical as advertised, and easy to get into. It is comfortable and flat. I can even sleep on my side in this hammock.I highly recommend this hammock for backcountry camping/backpacking.

Great hammock. I added two carabiners to each end and used end atlas straps which made set up much faster. I stayed warm with the additional mat (32*F). The snake skins are a must add as your set up and tear down is super fast!

XL is big enough for me, and I'm 6'2"Love the double lined bottom (which you can insert your sleeping pad. Used it on a night that hit 24F and was still cozy.Very comfortable. Super easy setup (use snakeskins, and there are some youtube videos that show tricks of using repelling rings on the tree straps that make up and down fast and easy).

If you want to hang bug free and dry this is a good mid to upper hammock. I used my hammock all over in Europe. If you have two trees you have a shelter, and even if you dont have trees you can make this baby work. Look it up on Google.

My husband ordered this for Scout camping. He says it's great and comfortable.

Really nice hammock

Have had a few hammocks and decided to go a little bigger. My issue with this model is the sleeve for your mat or thermal layer, its difficult to use. Needless to say I am disapointed in Hennessy right now for putting out a poorly thought out product.
