This gate is exactly what I needed. It's well made, sturdy and attractive. It is a bit heavy and cumbersome being made of wood - if you have arthritis, it can be a bit of a challenge to manipulate. But! Don't let that stop you from purchasing it because it is a genuinely nice pet gate visually and well worth the purchase price!

The gates are lightweight but sturdy enough to stand on their own even if you accidentally touch them while walking over them. It's also nice that we can simply move the gates to move past- (like if you're wearing a skirt and don't want to step over) - without them collapsing. Some of the reviews I read prior to ordering prepared me that these aren't heavy duty gates, so I had adjusted my expectations. However, the three sets I ordered were all in great condition- were clean, new, not scratched and didn't need screws changed out, etc. Maybe I just got lucky. They work great in our open concept floor plan and blend with our home decor. We have a small dog so these are perfect for our needs.

Very cute but very lightweight. I think a chihuahua could easily nudge it away. But! It looks nice, so working on training my mischievous pup to ‘stay’ in her ‘room’.

This dog fence is not only beautiful it all made with stencil type cutting of the wood! Why is that important - prior fences not made like this with each piece screwed in falls apart after multiple movement! This is perfect!!! Thank you!

Total junk! I bought two of these And they would’ve been great if they would’ve look like the picture and the quality of material and work we’re decent. Not sure where to start. First of all they were put together wrong so they didn’t stand. Upon taking them apart and reassembling then the hardware was rusted out right out of the box. A piece of the one was broken off out of the box. And the paint job I think the pictures can explain how bad that was. The inside is the same thickness as cardboard ... I’m sure it’s some sort of pressboard or pressboard mixed like material however I’m not sure that qualifies for solid wood. I wouldn’t buy unless you want to reassemble and repaint your self. I would not have paid $10 for these at a store seeing them the way that came let alone $40 a peice. I have a1.7 pound yorkiepoo that was able to knock it down the way they had it assembled . I am highly disappointed and Amazon and the manufactures of the company that made this I read reviews before I buy anything and have typically had good luck but this one had good reviews . Sad

I didn’t get the design I originally wanted but that’s not affecting my rating. It’s sturdy and looks nice in the living room. Other gates are eyesores but this one looks really nice! It’s light weight and easy to clean as well

I have a small 5 pound dog so these work great. They would not be tall enough for larger dogs. We love them and have several. These are sturdier than other designs also.

This is a lowerr barrier - which is good in that you don't have to move it once in place and an adult should be able to easily step over. Construction material is pressed fibre, and had some inconsistencies in dye color - but only notice close up. Color is a reddish-brown hue. Blends well in most homes.
