It was a nice read. The story just flows and keeps you interested in what's happening. The characters grow on you and the storyline gives them justice. I like that it was setup in the seventies, no mobile phones, no internet and no social media. Very well written!

My opinion is that it is a pleasant book to read, but almost nothing happens in it; it is boring and inconsequential.

Recommended by Stephen King. It was really a page-turner. The story is about the missing boy and girl in the period between ‘60 and ‘70. I am of the same generation as the girl and I particularly felt empathy with the girl, and also with the woman investigator.

The God of the Woods was my first literary fiction, and I absolutely loved it. This book has so many layers and is deeply emotional in a quiet, powerful way. It places you inside different characters’ lives and allows you to truly see the world through their perspectives, reminding you that understanding people goes far beyond simple right and wrong. The writing is thoughtful, immersive, and reflective, and by the end, it even makes you understand yourself a little better. A beautiful, meaningful read that stays with you.
