Cracking shed, but take time to build a suitable base and brace internally...
An impulse buy of a new on offer lathe for husband meant we needed to build him a new workshop, so the 8'x8' Ketter shed looked like it would fit the bill, and being plastic would not require ongoing painting or staining - as the spot we had againt the garage would prevent attention to the rear wall. We took the time to build a strong base of 3"x2" timber, braced every 20" and topped with 18mm OSB boarding. This was then mounted on top of bricks and mortar, with a total 1mm deviation on the diagonals and a 1mm run from horizontal front to back - not bad for 2 amateurs. The edges were sealed and the base stained, then the edges taped with weatherproof tape and a pond liner fitted over the top of the OSB. The shed arrived on Saturday at lunchtime, and by Sunday afternoon was completed, make sure you read the instructions and follow each step, and some of the twist fittings can be a bit tight, but overall a nice build. We took the time to seal the floor and the walls with silicon sealant - probably not absolutely needed, but with us wanting to run electrics inside we thought it better to be safe not sorry. We then built an internal 2"x2" wooden frame, every 2' and internally braced - not only for extra strength, but also for mounting the electric to and for mounting tool storage. This was screwed to the wlls at 16 points where there were preprepared screw points. We added 2 bracing beams front to back and screwed in 2 x 4' LED battens and rann the wiring to a junction box added to a wooden support. We also then added 5 surface mounted double sockets, wired again to the junction box, and all wirin was run behind the wooden frame. A scratchbuilt 2' by 4' bench with a shelf was added in the rear RH corner, and some OSB fitted above this to use as tooboard. The lighting circuit and socket ring main were then run through some flexible conduit through a hole drilled in the rear LH corner and run into the garage and connected to the Garage consumer unit using a 6A and a 32A RCB. This gave us light and power in the shed workshop. We have now moved his lathe, bandsaw, woodworking bench and lots of other powertools into the shed, and it is completely secure and doesnt vibrate or move at all. The internal framing has had some cladding fitted and tools hung from it, shelving for all our srews and nails is in place and it has become a very useable workshop for my husbands woodworking hobby. I would recommend the shed, it is fine as it comes out of the box, but if you want to use it as a workshop then take the time to add the bracing and you will have a building that will give years of service without issue...

Well worth the cost
Easy to build with 2 people. Remember to leave enough space to get round the shed to construct

Rubbish
Worst shed we’ve ever purchased. Really flimsy and rubbish quality. We have a Lifetime shed also and that is amazing compared. You can see the thicker quality materials on the Lifetime Shed compared to this one. Worst Keter product we own. Was shocked that Keter made a shed so cheap quality and thought they were a better brand than that. Would not recommend.

great product, easy to put together, would prefer a stronger base tho, and the delivery service is very poor.
no brainer purchase. vey good product that has storage, a nice wide comfy seat, and will last for years. however the company does need to sort out their delivery company - Tufnels, they are not treating the products well. We bought seat and shed and arranged delivery for Saturday when people would be here to help unload, the shed is a big item of course. well the seat came on a Monday and was left with a neighbour several doors up who has dementia, we never found out until her son visited. there was no signing and no card with us to tell us it had been delivered, this poor lady had a huge box in her hall that was a trip hazard and inconvenience to say the least. then the shed - tufnels turned up again wrong day - the weds with ONE DRIVER. I had to call husband back from work to help but even then it was impossibly hard and heavy and dangerous to lift. the driver only had a small inadequate trolley, he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and was scruffy and inarticulate, and not very hygienic. he tried to be pleasant but was out of his depth both dealing with customers and had had no lifting training he told us. the box was sodden and torn in places, the shed was actually marked. the suppliers definitely need to check up on tufnels and get them to improve their service, as it stands the handlers are letting the product down. as it is excellent.

Great shed! Great price!
Great quality for the money, robust shed and easy to build, even on your own. Took around 4 hours to put up and looks great.

Overall good product
Took about 5 hours to erect the shed on a previously prepared base. The labels could have been a bit clearer on the smaller items. One side panel was slightly bowed so didn't fit into the floor fully but enough not to cause a problem. Power tool is a must as a handheld screwdriver is not strong enough for some fixings. Doors closed properly when assembled but on a sunny day can stick slightly. These are just care points as overall a good shed for the price. As mentioned by others make sure your base is flat.

So many pieces and a few few broken on arival. Still discovering cracks now.
Got this at a reduced price, but even so, its not repairable and warps badly in the heat. The dual door side of our faces east and warms in the morning. That whole sides bows towards the sun when heated and in doing so the shelf falls off the wall on the inside. Ive had to put strengthener beams of wood on the inside to keep the structure square when the sun comes out. Seems to work, but why have keter not fixed this issue with metal beams in the frame. Really poorly made. No evidence of damage to the massive outer box when delivered yet there were now counting 3 parts broken when received. Large peices, not small. Got i think an £80 credit from amazon for this. Good on amazon, but very poor from keter. I wont buy from them again. Wood though rots in time, is repairable.
