I purchased the official Apple casing for my iPhone 16 Pro Max on July 22, excited to pair my new device with what I expected to be a premium, durable accessory. The initial impressions were great; the case fit perfectly, felt sleek in my hand, and the material seemed high-quality. It offered a minimalist yet secure feel that I was confident would protect my phone. However, my positive experience was short-lived. After only a little more than a month of normal use, I was incredibly disappointed to discover a noticeable chip on the side of the casing. This level of wear and tear is completely unacceptable for an original product from a brand like Apple, especially one designed to protect a flagship phone. My expectation was that an official case would be engineered to last for at least a year, if not more, given its premium price point. The fact that it began to show significant damage so quickly completely undermines its value and my trust in its protective capabilities. While the design is top-notch, the durability falls far short of what is expected from an official Apple accessory. I'm left feeling let down and questioning the quality of this product.

This case did not even last me a year—one drop from about 3 feet and the edge of the case had an unsightly chunk missing from the edge. Who knew silicone could “chip”?! (The phone appears undamaged, so I guess it “worked” in that sense.) I love the feel of the material and the color but durability is a D- grade at best which is why this received only 3-stars; I have had other cases that lasted several years and not shown that kind of wear and they cost less too. If not for the durability problem this would get 5-stars due to it being sufficiently grippy, easy to put on/take off/clean, the fit and buttons are perfect, and the covered camera control button does not diminish its functionality at all. Protection seems adequate although it could probably be slightly improved upon. At this price point though the product needs to be able to withstand a few bumps without the material disintegrating.

It last 100 days of very light use before the area around the charging port came apart. I wouldn’t recommend this case for anyone who carries their phone in their pocket. It feels and looks very nice but it’s clearly designed for people who only touch their phone when they wear silk gloves.

I got a discount and bought it; the size is right for my iPhone. It's easy to put on and take off, but you have to be careful if you take it off too often, as it can get damaged. I've already dropped it, and it protected my screen very well. The quality of the case is good, like premium plastic; if you like the feel of it, it's perfect and how it look is just manimalist and perfect

I had high hopes for this case since it’s an official Apple product, but alas my hopes were crushed and I’m returning it. If you’ve read other reviews, this will sound familiar. Like many clear cases, this one is extremely slippery in hand. It feels like it might slip right out just holding it normally (not to mention trying to do something like take a picture). I’m just not comfortable with it. Additionally, the buttons are very stiff. While they do work, the tactile feel is so different from what I’m used to, I’m constantly double clicking when unneeded because it feels like it’s not pressing correctly. Lastly, the bottom of the phone (where the speakers and charge port is located) is completely cut out. While this probably allows for better sound from the bottom speakers, it really seems exposed and I worry about the potential of the phone falling right on that area (like hitting the side of a table) as it would absolutely cause some damage. Do better Apple.

Love the Design, But Quality Could Be Better I really like this Apple iPhone 16 Pro Silicone Case. It’s lightweight, feels great in the hand, and works perfectly with MagSafe and the camera controls. It’s sleek, minimal, and makes the phone easy to grip. However, I’ve noticed that the quality isn’t quite what I expected from Apple. The silicone feels a bit flimsy and shows wear faster than I hoped. Despite that, I still enjoy using it for the design, functionality, and the added convenience of MagSafe.

High quality Apple case, however, I wish it was a bit more durable given the price. Lasted about a year before the edges were starting to peel and come apart. Love the color, works great with mag charging, great feel in the hand, not too bulky, easy to take on and off.
